the bribes clough and others took are one of the reasons DOFs were brought into the game.
clough and fergie got unlimited control after they had earned it, not before
 
Why the hell cant we just hire a manager who has the ability to take us back to the premier? We need to hire somebody not just for getting out of this league but for the future. Just looking at getting into the championship is very short term thinking (which it looks like we are doing). Get a good manager, pay him what he wants and back him. Last manager we had that i felt was in this bracket was Ross. The rest have been short term fixes (which haven’t worked).
 
TBH I'm not bothered at all. Don't think Keane has any recent relevant experience and is basically yesterday's man, the same as Clough and probably Ferguson wouldn't be suited to managing a top club today. Fans chucking their toys out the pram - at least it saves us from watching Keane doing it in at some point in the future.

Me, I'll stick with S'land and just wait for rollercoaster to change direction.

Can you blame Keane for not wanting to work with the current set up?

Answerable to Speakman who has achieved nothing in his career accept get a decent fee for a talented young player.

He would be mad to.

I feel the same marra, watched the lads since 82 and had a ST since 1990 but this is one kick in the nuts too many. Either a power trip or pinching pennies that we'll lose 5 times over in the next 20 months or so.

It will be about the financial backing for the project I guess Keene doesn't have faith in kld or Speakman and he wont let methman breathe the same air!

Perhaps he has found out how in the shit we really are and we have a shit plan to get out of it this with shit financial backing ..This is the lowest point in our great history and those clowns in charge of us need to go and give their head a shake ..
