Can't believe we've still got nobody in. Honestly, we've been through some horrific management/footballing eras in general. This is a whole other new f***ing level of incompetence.
I'm under 30.

I didn't think we could sink lower than 19 points in 02/03

I didn't think we could sink lower than 15 points in 05/06

I didn't think the combined fiascos (not mentioning them) in the 2nd half of Shorts era cumulating in relegation in 16/17 could be topped

I didn't think relegation to league 1 the season after in a truly ****ing pathetic fashion could be topped

I didn't think things could, surely, get any worse than the play off final defeat.

We just have sunk lower. Again. Incredible.

Honestly can't see Keane taking the job now and wouldn't blame him. Those running the club have shown themselves to be dithering, penny pinching and simply inept. Why would you chose to work for this lot? I know Keane's a bit mad but he's not ****ing stupid or desperate.

Alex Neil for me. Good lad, will be a slight upgrade on Johnson. God help us if they appoint Lennon.

It's so sad it's becoming funny now....

I can't see how the ownership could hold an ounce of credibility with our fanbase if it wasn't Keane now.

It will be the cherry on the cake for the humiliation we've endured if we don't give it to him now/he turns us down.

As mentioned, if he isn't our next manager I'm done with the club for the foreseeable. Probably going to go watch the odd Shields game (to be honest I bet they are ran ten times more professionally than us) and the f1 which starts soon again, **** this embarrassment of a club.

The minute the media got wind of Keane's interview, it was game over. It's absolutely irrelevant how anyone else performs in interview, it doesn't actually who the best candidate is, if Keane wants it we have to give him it or risk the whole house of cards will from coming down. Any other candidate is one bad result away from being ripped apart.

I'm loathed to scapegoat Speakman because the reality is simply that we're a League One club, operating to the level of competency that League One clubs operate. And that's the most depressing part of this shambles - we're not a big fish in a small pond anymore, we're just a shit club flailing about in our shit league, with shit people making their shit decisions.

Not on the list but my first choice would be

Liam Manning then Alex Neil
When we sacked Johnson I honestly thought we’d had our eye on “the next Manning/Critchley/Wagner/Farke” and had him lined up to be appointed in a couple of days.

Then KLD went on TalkSPORT said they were looking at managers all over the World and I started looking at who was coaching U23 and B teams across Europe or who was doing well in smaller leagues.

It then transpired that the 3 leading candidates were Keane, McCann and Lennon 😐
