Who in their right mind would want to work in a structure that is this indecisive

There is a good chance Keano's reps have told whoever interviewed him that he is withdrawing and who could blame him if that were true

We would have a better shout at promotion with Neil or McCann, not that I think they are long term solutions but if the short term aim is promotion then they would be a better bet. But both would be deeply unpopular with the fans, regardless of whether they would be more logical choices.

I don’t disagree but the club and the board have backed itself into a corner by liking daft stuff on insta, talking about process whilst taking their time which can be the right thing to do. However, when they got rid of Johnson (who I think would have won our last two games) they didn’t expect momentum to build around Keane within the fan base.

Playing devils advocate here, what if they didn’t plan on firing Johnson…something happened behind the scenes that made the job no longer tenable? An ultimatum, me or Defoe, perhaps? Or a disagreement on performances and starting team/style of play…? Not the greatest ideal situation but now have to get a manager in and stop this slump.

Personally, I think it will be Keane but it’s taking longer because of high level negotiations…length, money and his existing TV contract. I’m giving KLD and the club the benefit of the doubt until an appointment is made…

The club should have kept Johnson in that case. Sacking him has made things worse.
