Still not convinced by this longing for Keane, hes been out of the game that long so who are his backroom people going to be, how long will it take him to get back into the swing of things?

We would have a better shout at promotion with Neil or McCann, not that I think they are long term solutions but if the short term aim is promotion then they would be a better bet. But both would be deeply unpopular with the fans, regardless of whether they would be more logical choices.

I thought he said ‘next week’ last night?
Not being funny but if I was a journo and the club said next week for a possible appt after what has already gone on then I would be incredulous and seek out answers etc to find out wtf is going on and how this has not been sorted...he's no doubt just shrugged his shoulders and said alright then.

Working over that way I get to see lots of aircraft flying over, and can usually recognise them, sky, itv, coastguard, military etc, but never saw one like this. It was the equivalent of the A team van. We might need them to save us anyway.

What’s power got to do with anything? Players just tend not to respond to it. My brother plays in the northern league and just switches off if all the coaching team can do is just shout and not offer any constructive criticism
When players are on 150k/250k a week they carry all the power. They can just down tools and not bother trying

Players down here are mostly on short term contracts and aren’t as financially secure as the top players.

They fail under Keane then they will either be paid less at a different club or not even get another club

Bin Speakman and the DOF/Head coach bollocks. It's only as good as the fella implementing it and he's proven he's f***ing hopeless.

The only way we're gonna get Keane now is as our Manager and to give him control of footballing matters and players in/out.

Make him accountable to KLD and KLD only.

Isn't gonna happen now like in my opinion.

They sacked him immediately before an international break and took 11 days to appoint Lampard. Ferguson had already managed the first team previously and already had experience with the squad.

We sacked our manager 24 hours before the transfer deadline, didn’t start looking for a new one until last Tuesday and have so far allowed 2 coaches who train the kids to “lead” the team for two vital games - probably 3 with this weekend.

It isn’t even comparable.

Try 15 days and it wasn’t immediately before an international break it was a week before a very winnable home game against Villa that they lost

Didn't want to think beyond Keane over this last week but the longer it goes on the more its looking like we'll have to put up with an alternative. Out of the sorry list I'd probably go with Neil.

The cynic in me is beginning to believe those running the club don’t actually want promotion this season. Who knows what’s written in these confidential documents regards ownership of the club!

Speakman needs to go regardless of who the manager is. Every single person on "the shortlist" has substantially more experience in senior football than Speakman. He's got no business whatsoever sticking his nose in to first team affairs. He's simply not qualified.
