Given Methven thought Parkinson was a good manager and he appears to have the ear of the owner/front man or whatever he is, then we should be worried.
Can absolutely, categorically confirm he will have no say in who the new manager is. Literally none.

He still owns a small % of the club. He can go to games, that’s about where the influence ends. Zero say.

Clearly not going to be Keane now. I’m not going to make a grand statement that I won’t be going back as it simply isn’t true, but I’ll definitely have a few weeks break from the club as it’s not contributing to a positive weekend at the moment

I will. The only way I’ll be at a game again this season is if Keane’s appointed, otherwise I’m done. Can’t be bothered to be feeling like this anymore.

It’s hardly the end of the world though is it? It’s a just fecking 3rd tier football team. Is your life really going to change if we don’t get promoted again this season?

I’d probably see the news again in May, roll my eyes and nothing would change in the real world. Poor people would continue to be cold and hungry. Putin would continue to threaten our luxury of peacetime. China will still invade Taiwan. Rich people will get richer. Poor people will continue to struggle. Crime will continue and 5% of the population will continue to do 95% of the voluntary work:

Life goes on whether we win or lose our next match. It is a huge over reaction.in the scheme of things why is anybody really bothered?
When you put it like that........🤔

Hasn’t been a manager for a very long time, isn’t a ‘modern’ footballer (especially when it comes to man management), done nothing of note at Ipswich.

He had one (arguably two) good season with your lot as far as I’m aware, and fell out with everyone from the FA to FIFA.

I don’t see him being the man to build a modern football club around in any way.
Logically you're probably right. But for us he is the right man, the right fit at the right time.

Automatic has gone.
Id rather go into the playoffs with Keane or Warnock though neither are long term propositions.
Neil is the only mentioned candidate for me.

There is a good possibility we will be 8th without kicking another ball.
We need a manager not a coach but it will never happen.

Because we are born into this. Brought up with our lives revolving around this. People plan their weddings around this or miss them. We spend thousands of pounds on this and thousands of hours. People are buried in their colours and have their funerals revolve around this. Sunderland till we die is exactly that for a large majority of us. We live and breathe this and so do our kids thanks to us. To dismiss it with "why is anybody really bothered" means you don't get it to be honest.
