If Speakman was good at his job we have had a replacement in by now.Just out on interest - who told you Speakman doesn’t want Keane at the club?
No plan b and plan a was pretty hopeless.

No one obviously.Just out on interest - who told you Speakman doesn’t want Keane at the club?
Many fans saw it as it was and called it out many fans defended it.
You were the latter.
Agree. I wont be renewing if its a McCann type appointment. It’ll be basically the ST holders and a wedge of them including me won’t bother going.
Aye gerry mccann outIf McCann gets it I hope the booing begins immediately.
People work through the system man. Mourinho won a load of trophies. Bob Paisley. It’s half the people on here need their heads looking at more than the club. It’s common place for a club to put someone with no experience of senior football whatsoever, in charge of their entire football operation?
He’s a terrible commentator anarl, maybe we were spoilt by Crabtree and Mowbray but he’s woeful in comparison. Is Barnes just taking the piss? I’m sure he said by the weekend and now he’s saying next week?![]()
I think Johnson was a mistake so this is a massive decision. They are right, therefore, to really consider all elements and try to make a measured decision and you can make a very strong case for Neil and McCann. In many ways Keane is the emotional choice which I do support but is laced with risk. I was really disappointed with the Johnson appointment but, by your measure, we should have lost a generation of support when we appointed Parkinson who was an incredibly stupid appointment. Either way in my view we won't lose a generation of support. I judge by my 3 kids and their mates who are all Sunderland fans - they are more into now than ever before. You are a good poster and I respect your view but I think the Club is at a crossroads today.
Mess this up and we could loose a whole generation of support. Its a massive week for this Club.
Fair enough but this season is turning into a disaster and plenty saw it coming. You’re confusing the manager and the “structure”.
I think we’ve got a bit of a feel this week for the idea that the manager may not actually have been the problem. Or at least not the primary problem.
The manager leaving pre-dates the absolute circus that’s come to light since.
He could have got a replacement in within 24 hours if that was the only outcome to be achieved. Trying to bring in someone like Keane is not a 24 hour exercise. If Speakman was good at his job we have had a replacement in by now.
No plan b and plan a was pretty hopeless.
Correct thats why you start it long before you lay off the manager. For the love of godHe could have got a replacement in within 24 hours if that was the only outcome to be achieved. Trying to bring in someone like Keane is not a 24 hour exercise.

I have a good mate who is a Hull supporter. McCann would be uninspiring.I think Johnson was a mistake so this is a massive decision. So, I agree, its a massive week BUT if we did appoint Neil or McCann it would be in no way stupid or a disaster though many on here would make it out to be. Then again I live my life as an optimist so I would say that.
Had a look over Boro’s First Team and none of their surnames begin with a PThere isn’t a footballer currently at Boro who used to be at us with a surname starting with P
How does his surname begin with a P?
Stuart parnaby is his sourceNone of their surnames begin with a P
Why. By all accounts Keane wants it. we could have wasted 3 games by there is an appointment. Only 15 games left and the way we are going we might not even make the play offs.He could have got a replacement in within 24 hours if that was the only outcome to be achieved. Trying to bring in someone like Keane is not a 24 hour exercise.
I don't disagree but if picking managers would simple we'd all be champions. I want Keane but I am also keen on us sticking with the DOF structure and like the idea of younger coaches who play attacking football. Keane would be a massive appointment but still may not work out.I have a good mate who is a Hull supporter. McCann would be uninspiring.
This Club needs a big character to set some standards. Nobody bigger than Keane.
Thunderbolt of lightning,Lamouchi Lamouchi will you do the Fandango
Ah okay, thought the source was in Boro’s first teamStuart parnaby is his source
