in terms of recruitment Stewart was an excellent buy. Dajaku is decent. Roberts and Clarke have the potential to be very good additions. McGeady will be back soon. Defoe was a good short time addition to give us experience upfront. Broadhead will hopefully play the last 10-12 games. That’s six attacking players who should be available in next 3 months plus Broadhead. How many were you expecting us to have.

Goals have not been a problem this season. We have got rid of Hawkes OBrien and Diamond who added 1-2 goals combined And added players with goals in them. surely that’s some kind of progress.
Stewart class,Dajaku lightweight and poor,Roberts and Clarke both leave end of season ,Mcgeady finished also out contract soon,Defoe contract end of season,Broadhead went back to Everton for rehab and is out of loan spell end of season.

Right but it doesn’t slowly edge closer over the course of a week as the issue/issues they can’t agree on are not slowly adjusted in tiny increments. If they’ve been discussing it for 5 working days it’s not just been a slow edge of progress. There’s been a deadlock.
Not necessarily mate - I’m with you in that it’s taking longer than these football manager contracts tend to take to agree… though some contracts can take months to work through and agree.

I’m a contracting manager in my day job.

Just because the club say they are still interviewing doesn’t mean they are. It’s the easiest way to keep other candidates in the background while they try and thrash things out with RK. You all should know that RK is no push over when it comes to his contract - never has been! It took a while back in 2006. The fact there is a delay points to it being close. Relax!

How long can it take, it’s obvious whether an agreement is possible after the first couple of days. Everywhere is reporting they are doing further interviews.
