Regardless of what happens from here, it’s abundantly clear based on the last week’s circus that we have people running our football operations, who are not qualified to do so.
Selling Flanagan, a decent league one defender, and not replacing him, leaving us short at centre back.

Lack of striking options generally, especially if Stewart was to get a short or long term injury

No experienced right back

No mobile, experienced centre mid enforcer

Sack a manager and then a pantomime ensues to bring in a replacement whilst Rome burns and two clueless stand ins oversee a disgraceful defeat by Doncaster Rivers, bottom of the league but who could have been 4-0 up at half time quite easily. 38,000 people treated to an absolute amateurish shit show as a result. Disgusting.

Make pretentious videos instead of just appointing a manager who most supporters would like to see given the opportunity and entertain a series of applicants who will see many walk away if they are given the job.

The constant corporate speak and blather about projects and data, which from several heavy thrashings and ridiculous home results against clubs at the bottom end at the time of playing them-Charlton, Lincoln and Doncaster-and throwing away numerous late leads, eg: Wycombe and Accrington etc.-is not working very well.

That so many clubs with lesser support, history and overall squad ability are doing better than us suggest those running the club need to have a good look at themselves. Four years in this division is unacceptable. Standards are not good enough.

Loads of questioning of KLD and more specifically Speakman.
Will all be forgiven if they manage to get the Keane deal over the line?
It always seems a bit all or nothing on here at times. 🤔
Speakman is still open to criticism. Why has he got rid of 3/4 defenders and left us short at left back and centre back. We still haven't got a right back who can start games and still no similar back up for stewart.

He was buzzing to play the games against Wycombe and Lincoln because of 'integrity', that went well.

We cant even really play 3 at the back now because of his decisions on the defenders.

For me aye and for the first time properly since they arrived

They should have been planning in case johnson left but havnt been

Scrapping around for the same old obvious names who are out of work

No ambition or thought at al

And for me it seems keano is only to make the fans happy

The more I think about it, the more I don;t think Keane is a fit right now.

I doubt he would work with a DOF/the current structure. I also don't want the club to abandon that set up for the whim of an angry Irish man who hasn't managed for almost a decade.

I'd rather we didn't slavishly follow it when it has, so far, always been terrible for us, from De Fanti, to Congerton, to Speakman. Bullshitters the lot of them, none of them have left the club in a better state than they found it.

It's blatantly obvious that we need something to kickstart a turnaround. It starts, as it did with Keane last time, and as it did with Reid, Smith, and McCarthy before that, with appointing a manager who has the bollocks to give the club a lift. Appointing Keane might not work, but appointing another compliant, docile, wet blanket who thinks their coaching ability will see us through certainly won't.

And why are you referencing the fact that he is Irish?

I might be completely wrong, but in my opinion, Flanagan was dumped at the last minute as he reacted to Johnson's sacking.

Which makes the whole mess even more embarrassing.

Not for me.

Far from convinced that Keane is the right appointment anyway but even if whoever does come in turns out to be a roaring success, the farcical manner in which this whole episode has been handled raises serious concerns about their ability to steer us in the right direction in the long term.

If that’s the case we should have just kept Johnson to persue this ‘theoretical’ philosophy of how football should be played, even in this shithouse L1.

Great analysis. Boys who have swallowed management spiel and think they're in the big league. Results say they are struggling to achieve third rate.

Some of his decisions have been questionable to say the least.
Having said that some of his recruitment has been excellent.
He's neither the spawn of Satan or the best thing since sliced bread in my opinion.
I don't think we can afford to give up on our long term plan. Getting young hungry players in with a point to prove is the right way to go.
His interview with Frankie and Danny was very naive. Trying to come across as putting people in the picture when all it did was muddy the waters. Jury's still out on Speakman but I still believe KLD knows what he's doing.

Apparently not. Read somewhere that it had been discussed throughout the month. Could be bullshit like but either way I think we can all agree that getting shot of him wasn’t the issue, especially on his recents showings. It was not replacing him that was the mistake. Ooh look, just like the head coach situation.

I think Keane would be on a hiding to nowhere.

15 games to get sorted. A very tricky job.

He could easily take a while to sort things and drop out of the play offs.

What then?
