KLD will be key here not speakman. If the owner wants him in then I'm sure he will go all out to get him, if the deal is not there to be had he will move on.
I don't think speakman gets to make the call on Keane
Just listened to the WMS Podcast with Luke Edwards.

He is still hopeful and believes Keano was offered the job on Friday according to his info.

‘he is under the impression he has been offered the job’
This is broadly in line with what I was told . SAFC had initial conversation with Keane’s agent on Monday and Tuesday last week. Provisional framework offer made to Keane on Thursday night. Keane’s agent wanted more detail on terms of offer. SAFC drafted contract Friday. Keane’s solicitor drafted an alternative contract that was viewed as a bit bizarre as SAFC are employer, but everything was looking good on Saturday. Ball in Keane’s court! No news beyond that.

Keane is like the bad boy ex with the motorbike. We know he's probably bad for us, but he's dangerous and we want him really bad. Our mother doesn't like him though.

Neil, Lennon, McCann are the middle aged lads in accounts. They have bald heads, low level alcohol problems and have underachieved in their careers. They've been binned off by plainer girls than us already. Our mother shouldn't want them either. They are boring as f*** and we know they'd make us unhappy and unsatisfied.

If we can't have the bad boy, give us a young lad with prospects, with a career on the up. Someone with a bit of sex appeal but a bit of sense too. I'd even be willing to have a fling with a foreign exchange student.

Anyway, I'm not sure Speakman is a very good mother.
You might want to give Grindr a shot.

When you look at our recruitment process now and when Johnson was appointed, it’s pretty poor. First choice is a former manager both times, the other choices are the most obvious out of work managers in Britain. There’s not a lot of imagination.

Fall out from this if it's not Keane is going to be toxic.

Loads won't bother turning up rest of the season (me) and there'll be people physically kicking off in a nasty way I predict.

That sounds like something Keane would push for
