Somewhat contradictory. Negotiations happen when a job is offered. Interviews to decide whether to offer the job. The interpretation I have of that is Keane has been offered the job, quite possibly right at the outset and things are taking a little time to get right whilst we interview contingency plan coaches/managers. Would explain the “ it’s done” and the “ it’s not done” info because it’s likely he’s said yes but contracts aren’t yet finalised. If that’s the case continuing the process with other candidates is sensible and pragmatic rather than wait for a possible no from Keane and start from scratch.

So we don't mind losing games to save Keane's reputation from a possible bad start? What if he comes in Wednesday and loses Saturday?

Also, you've just reminded me by mentioning thr fire alarm. What the fuck was that noise that kept happening in sat (presumably through the tannoy?)? Think i happened just after their goal and second half. Thought Aliens were coming down.

That doesn’t make sense but because of who told me I’ve got to take it at face value. His TV work over the weekend was more likely the reason for any delays.
