We have no idea what has been offered to Keane though. What if he has demanded 3yr contract on high wages, they would have to consider that. Not sure how the finances are right now but if he gets a year into the contract and fans are screaming for him to go that would be a good pay off for him.

If it is Keane demanding this and that, control of everything I would be concerned in him coming because if it didn't go well it means a whole new change again. I hope it goes well and he signs, I'm just saying the club is bigger than the manager so chopping and changing every 2 minutes is not good.

I said to a mate of mine who's not convinced about Keane. We've now possibly got two people at the club who have that right mentality for it. Is he the best tactically? Perhaps not. But I don't think a Keane Sunderland team would wilt at a final

For the record I also think they should have appointed quicker. It’s a mistake I think, well intentioned I’m sure if it is the clubs doing - it sounds like they are trying to be thorough but the dropped points tell us it was probably a bad decision. That doesn’t mean Speakman is the spawn of the devil though and who knows, he could be the man trying to get Keane against the wishes of some board members. I’ll wait and see facts date I say data rather than over use my emotional brain.

To be fair to Speakman and dragging his heels everybody me included given the choice would have picked Doncaster to play on Saturday .....This appointment has to be right and has to be Keane
