Its disrespectful. If they can't judge a candidate on one interview they should be sacked.
I think it depends on the candidate. For Roy Keane it should be simple. There are thousands of hours worth of footage of him talking football. It seems a bit fruitless for him.

On the other hand some of the other coaches like that one in Australia it might be worth it.

I’m not reading too much in to Nixon as he gets a lot wrong.

No but he is a brilliant prfessional and will given his standing at the Club.

We are a shambles. We need Keane to come in and set some standards. From top to bottom.

The team selection and tactics were a disgrace yesterday, we have one of the worst playing surfaces in the country and litter lying all over the place. There are literally no standards at the club.

Some arses need kicking. No one better than Keane. If he offends people so be it.
a data driven approach does not fit well will the Keane cultists' "He's the one true Messiah" approach

I wouldn't be surprised if that is the source of some tension between KLD and Speakman.

the job involves managing assets of many millions of pounds and a large staff..keane hasn horrific record on both those counts..he needs as many interviews as he can get to prove he has changed..and jobs of that seionirty are not given out on a whim
Keane doesn't have horrific records of spending money nor of hiring staff. He brought some very good players to Sunderland and top quality staff from Man Utd

It’s astonishing. They are single handily blowing any chance of promotion we have got.

Its ever since we didn't postpone the Wycombe and Lincoln games.

By comparison it was so positive then. I've never seen a collapse quite like it. We don't even look good enough to be a shadow of the team we were pre Christmas.

keaner needs to remmebr his own standards..like actuALLY showing up to work on time..
if he does that..then he can demand standards from first team players and coaches..

the rest is none of his business
I don't recall reports of him ever being late at Sunderland. In fact, he left several players behind for doing so prior to an away game.

he wont be spending moeny here..transfer window is closed..though his signings record in the premier league era for safc were mediocre at best..
as for managing sdtaff..was horrific at it at ipswich and with ireland..alienated players and engdangered guys long term careers.

the staff he came to safc were good thats true.

Why all the Speakman hate all of a sudden?

Me personally:

Haphazard squad building
Style of play not fitting player purchased attributes
Sacking someone who has the squad towards its ceiling
Not having a shortlist of replacement coaches ready to go
Swayed by romanticism / short termism / fan pressure
Poor staff appointments
Insistence on technical attacking midfielders when we have an abundance
Since January we probably top wage budget but don't have the best squad

Probably a couple more.

I disagree. Keane will know the value of data.
