Some of the speculation on here is absolutely mad. Anyone ever heard of Occam's razor? People banging on about some shouting match between Keane and Speakman, or that Speakman is intentionally trying to sabotage the club!

It's way more likely that there's just some small technical delay, like Keane wanting to stick to his TV commitments this weekend, or something to do with it being a Sunday, or a haggle over a contractual detail or whatever. Or maybe they just want to weigh options and interview the other candidates? We don't know, and the ITK's chatting nonsense just need to be ignored.

People really should check the conspiratorial thinking at the door like.

i dont think chimbonda was a good signing..gordon was a good signing but they overpaid...ferdidnand had one good season..depends how much he cost whether he was a good signing..

lads on a league of ireland podcast i listeb to were joking that keane being a manager would bosot the leagues finances as he could overpau for more shite from it.

I think people are suspicious about how Speakman came out with that mood Hoover crack after the Keane thing on Friday night. Almost like he was saying, ‘you’re not coming, stop getting the fans excited cos I don’t want you and there‘ll be hell on when we appoint Lennon!’ :lol::p
 
Watching that interview yesterday gave me the impression that Speakman is in no hurry. Yet, since last weekend we have more or less lost contact with the top two and are in real danger of dropping out of the top six.
This needs sorting ASAP.

I think it’s more the fact that yesterday there was talk of “putting a shortlist together” and second interviews will be “this week”. Doesn’t seem in keeping with the urgency of the situation when promotion is expected this season. Pretty sure they could have fast tracked the process.

it was..sbc loan short took out was secured against club property.
the dell loan wasnt used to fix a lift..its a myth.

i think the transfer deadline cost them the best part of a day..though i am surprised second round interviewsh havent happened already

Hopefully you are right.

However, the way we are heading we could miss out on the play offs. We are fiddling whilst Rome burns.

If we dont go up this season any decent layers will be gone and we start from scratch agin in the summer.

A fifth season in this league is a disgrace for this club. Nigh on 40,000 people there yesterday. We really have to stop accepting mediocrity.

Maybe he didn't want 40,000 people singing Keano songs when nothing is agreed. I'm hoping he's just bluffing and there's something tonight/tomorrow morning.
