The interview wasn't "released" yesterday, it was actually done yesterday, pre-match.
You have to question Speakman’s judgement on this.

Why do the interview in the first place? Was it necessary?

And by saying what he did - very little other than giving the impression they’ve made next to no progress last week - what was he hoping to achieve?

Not particularly but it’s obvious why he was targeted. Too soon to write him off, opposition midfield have had a free run at the defence the last two games.
Is the correct answer,3 in front of batth and co are actually cardboard cutouts.Absolute disgrace and will be in need of diacalm tablets when Keano arrives.

You’ve made this announcement on what evidence? You in a room with kld and speakman? You know Keane or his representative? You know their views? I doubt it v much
it’s not “ITK” info, so wind your neck in. I literally replied to a post who gave their opinion and I’m just giving mine.

Not once did I say this was inside info.

I agree, leaders needed. Most that might fulfill that role have missed a lot of football. Wright, O’Nien and McGeady in particular. All have their faults and detractors but do have leadership qualities to a degree.
This league we need two or 3 experienced tough “been there types “ who will lead -get crowd going -get onto ref ( we are naive in that as well ) to let the others play .
My worry is RK will see that in his first week but it’s now difficult to address through recruitment failures -he may well get a very good tune out of Meteke -and will need to get others believing and growing quickly .Certainly hope he gets chance .

I thought it was to dampen hopes of Keane, because it wasn't happening. But people still seem pretty confident that it is happening, so I agree, it was just pointless and made him look like he's done nowt.
