Truth is, womens boxing is nowhere near elite level yet. Its very much in the period where the standard will improve massively over time until it hits the plateux.

Funny enough, that period before you hit the plateux can be the most entertaining.

UFC, for example was miles more enjoyable before about UFC 90.

Speaking of UFC, remember when they pushed Ronda Rousey as she was a level above everyone, but within 2 years she'd been totally overtaken? Its a perfect case in point of what I mean.

Agree it’s got to start somewhere. My issue is they bang on like she’s Calzaghe or Maywearher.

She gave it the biggun in mma and lost

Marshall would’ve finished this by now

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. And the update I put on the post about Rousey is the perfect example. She got paid more than anyone for about 3 fights, and then was immediately bypassed and exposed.

I know someone pulled me up for suggesting he once had a ton of potential, and he still has time, but I really do think he has something of an X Factor and could still do something good with his career.

32 now. Needs to get a move on like. The BSJ defeat was a huge blow at the time.

It really derailled him, BUT many of us (including me) had no idea just how good BJS actually was - for a while there, he was fantastic but then seems to have got completely off the rails himself sadly
