Worried me when I listened to Speakman on Thursday and he said the new manager has to get on with the current staff you’d expect the new manager to bring in his own people, every time I hear him speak Keane is the last person I think he wants to appoint.
What if the new Manage/Coach feels the current staff are not what they want or feel right? This is when I question the DOF role.

See if we have the right staff in place the coaches job should be easy to go in to. I've no problem with that, it encourages stability (to a point)
Yeah but I don’t think the most important thing is if the new manager gets on well with the existing staff just move them on. The way we was speaking I got the impression he wanted a ‘nice’ coach who Mike Dodds etc like. Keane will look at the likes of Dodds and say who the fk are you and what have you ever done and quite rightly so. Maybe KLD and Dave Jones want Keane but Speakman etc don’t

I hope he'd reserve judgement on them until he's worked with them. Good coaches don't necessarily have to be high profile or have had a good playing career.

A result like this probably has Keane thinking a bit.

It basically rules automatic promotion out (if it wasn't already) barring a miracle run and collapse from Wigan/Rotherham.

He could win 10+ in a row and it still may not be enough.

Another reason why it was ridiculous not to have the deal for any incoming manager all but done before sacking Johnson..

His first season was class. Kept us in the Premier which was good, but the cracks soon appeared.

Some of those wanting him back will no doubt be the same people who abused Peter Reid, a man who achieved better results.

Seems to me it’s because he’s a big name. That I’m afraid is going down a mag like road and that worries me.
And we don't have cracks appearing now I suppose?

I'd take what we had then over what we've had since, any day of the week.
What's your alternative, if you are so considered and have thought this through?

In any other high profile and/or professional organisation the directors would have an unofficial short list of candidates in the event of a crucial staff member leaving.

That can still be achieved with a degree of integrity.

Reading between the lines, and I'm definitely not itk, they have fired Johnson seemingly without a candidate in mind.

If that is the case then, particuarly at this stage of the season and our league position, that's pretty piss poor on a few levels.
My opinion is they sacked him for Defoe and had no idea what to do thereafter. Hence why we’ve ended up losing two defenders on deadline day and no new ones coming in.

Scummy little method of clicking money whilst destroying lives in the process because it's set up for punters to fail and preys on it.

We had an ad last year in twitter telling fans to support their team (safc) by placin bets.
All clubs advertise betting, betting is advertised everywhere.

Every manager going into a club takes some of their own staff, if it wasn’t for the people so adamant Keane is already a done deal I would be thinking Keane is the last person Speakman wants.

If we are going down the arsehole route then I’d say Warnock is a steadier pair of hands than Keane until the end of the season.

Downie is a clown but if he'd said we are not national newsworthy He would be right,as nobody except the teams in the premiership are!
The only thing great about our club today is its fans and I would argue that their loyalty alone deserves success .

Wishing though gets you nowhere its money that runs the game and bottom feeders like sky and Downie are the seagulls following the trawler.
If you think that just because we are in League one that we aren’t newsworthy you are as bad as him. Like I said he tweeted as soon as Lincoln beat us, we must have been deemed newsworthy then. He is a selective reporting, mag apologist twat who actually cried live on tv when reporting on their takeover
