Apart from that not happening? Nearly resulting in a goal is massive exaggeration.

It didn't sum up his performance either. Being available, putting in several decent crosses and running at them when others weren't showing or trying to make things happened summed up his performance.

In the scale of things he's shit, he's frustrating and he has too many brain farts. There was much much worse players on the pitch today though, but too many notice him involved and the frustrating bits and need a scapegoat.

Although Gooch was shit today, I’d argue Embleton was worse as he was basically anonymous.

Zero points though marra against a poor team
Ultimately that’s what matters so hugely disappointing and defensively a shambles so not suggesting everything is rosy but there’s still room for some optimism if the right manager/coach comes in.

Nope, there really wasn't. Absolutely disgusting performance, hasn't beat a player in at least 3 years. Never seen a player lose possession as much in my life.

Just making things up now.

You say you've never seen a player lose possession as much when we have Doyle and Cirkin the former losing the ball often in defensive positions and the latter doing that on occasions and being absolutely woeful with his finall ball.

Really poor result and rubbish at times but not as bad as some making out.74% possession, 22 efforts on goal, perfect goal disallowed. 9 out of ten times we win. Still plenty to criticise but feels so much worse because of the positivity going in to the game.
What were the stats at the point they went 2-0 up though, understandable they would defend a 2 goal lead.

the new lows just keep coming. and i will say this; if this formation does come from the top then we need a rethink because it isnt working and won't work in this division even with different personnel. .

Aye, the dithering pillock set the rot away......again.
Yeh i'm starting to think he's the next Lee Camp. Young Keeper though, probably not daft. But that 1st goal for Bolton last week. It really confused me. The other 5 goals conceded weren't his fault but the teams defence...dear oh dear

I just hope people don't take the anger home with them or on the street. It's not worth it.

This afternoon, I kept on thinking about Coleman's repeated mantra, that the players 'have to take responsibility'.
Today wasn't as bad as Bolton but, there again, we were playing Doncaster, The only surprise to me today was that we actually scored.
Coleman was right on that.

We should never have got rid of him.

Although Gooch was shit today, I’d argue Embleton was worse as he was basically anonymous.

Anonymous means he's not as easy to spot though, hence others get grief for trying, because delivery or ball retention is hit and miss.

None of them were anywhere close to being decent, barring Clarke as a sub with a bit of a cameo and Matete done OK.

I don't blame the players. I blame Speakman and KLD.

They could have had Keane appointed and at least in the stands. Instead they put bloke in charge who's never been in charge of a professional team in his life!

They did great to bomb Johnson out in order to salvage the season. Then they have undid it all in 6 days. Shambolic!

Covid meant we couldn't be there today, (a lucky escape perhaps), but from reading the comments and seeing the line up, it seems today has been a case of utter mis-management in terms of players, team selection and utilising the players available. It's such a simple game, yet we keep on making the same mistakes.
