I didn't take it that way but tbh I'm not really bothered either mateI thought he said ‘there’s been speculation…. You were up there today’. Like the first part just tailed off and the second part was fact.

Whatever and however it was said, Roy didn't answer, he made a totally separate statement.I thought he said ‘there’s been speculation…. You were up there today’. Like the first part just tailed off and the second part was fact.
If he’s down manchester tonight I’m guessing he’ll stay down south tonight and come up tomorrow and sign Sunday and be revealed on Sunday or Monday
What on earth are you chuntering on about? Not spot on at all Pancho, Keano is a legend any club be proud to have.
Read between the lines, man, rocky! That conversation was clearly prearranged. They’ll have been discussing it backstage. They needn’t have mentioned it on air.He said "there was speculation you were up there today"
He's a prize whopper that kid.Absolutely spot on in (although the ugly fucker tweeting it is a mag trying to stir up shit)

I disagree, Keane did a brilliant job taking us up, it was a brilliant season, he kept us up with some great moments, then it unravelled, partly because he didn’t get his own way.Benitez got the mags relegated, then promoted and then had them lower / mid table. The mags only loved him because he was a big name who had previously won things. They were blind to the rubbish football and very average achievements.
We are judging Keane on his time here. He took a side in danger of relegation and made us Champions. His team scored goals and played decent footy with a never say die attitude. He also established us in the Premier League.
The 2 scenarios are nothing like each other.
Roy isn't in a great bargaining position. He has been touting himself as a manager again for while and hasn't had any bites. However, he's not stupid and will know his value in terms of bums on seats. On the one hand I think if Keane is serious about ever getting into management (not to mention the fact he's said many good things about us and that he has unfinished business here) then realistically I cannot ever see him getting a better opportunity at this stage.
On the other he's a stubborn b@stard. Whether it be money (surely can't be an isuse), length of contract, control over various team affairs including recruitment, style of play etc, then I could easily see him not agreeing if it didn't fit his demands.
On the face of what we've seen tonight it looks abundantly clear he wants the job and so far so good, but there's always that bit of doubt due to Roy being Roy.
Just brilliant! This made an appearance here yet?

He would’ve been tremendous at Roker!I think he would be good at poker but finding it difficult to keep a straight face is very telling.
Following various comments made towards me this will be my last note in regards to Roy Keane.
1 I have said from Wednesday that initial talks have taken place with RK which went well and that subsequent meetings were to take place.
2 You may recall The Chrinicle via James Hunter stated late on Wed night that contrary to reports no discussions had taken place, he was totally wrong with that statement.
3 Yesterday morning you will remember the Chronicle and then the Echo backtracked and reported they now believe talks have taken place after previously stating they hadn’t.
4 The Board under EFL rules as I said I am earlier post today have to go through a process of interviewing others. Regardless of that it makes absolute total sense for the Board to interview others anyway including McCann who I had mentioned for two obvious reasons. One- RK doesn’t come across that he wants the job enough or they can’t agree the terms of any potential contract, and secondly you should always have your alternatives if you can’t convince your preferred choice.
5 It’s my absolute view and has been from the outset that I have tried to get across that if all went well Keane was and is their preferred choice.
6 I have said on a few previous occasions that it’s now ultimately down to Keane and I still believe that is the case.
7 Roy Keane in my view will agree to become our Manager and will be announced within the next few days. Nothing I have seen from him tonight had changed that view, in fact it only confirmed what I hope and believe.
Thanks

Exactly what I thought!he knew he'd fucked up and given the game away so started spewing backtracking shite
How would they argue? It's chalk and cheese.I disagree, Keane did a brilliant job taking us up, it was a brilliant season, he kept us up with some great moments, then it unravelled, partly because he didn’t get his own way.
The Mags would argue the same argument about Rafa’s time there.
We said the Mags loved Rafa because of what he’d won elsewhere, it was true, Keane won loads as a player but, other than our Championship win, what has he won as a manager,
They are in
Don't think it'll be tonight but think it'll be announced after the game tomorrowJust heard from reliable source that the contract is signed and announcement to be made during the man utd boro match so Keane can confirm post match
Roll on tomorrow lads and ladies
