Even those against the idea of appointing Keane, have to acknowledge that the risk involved is pretty much zero. Automatic promotion is already going to be very difficult from this position, and he'll go at the end of the season if it doesn't work out, so where is the risk exactly?

Ha ha. Anything remotely anti-keane appointment is shot down in seconds.

Last Thursday morning on TalkSport.

Brazil and McCoist were debating Chelsea's attacking options, they then asked Agbonlahor what he thought about Hudson Odoi, his answer "well he sometimes beats the FB but sometimes he doesn't"
Next topic, players being good or bad in training, his answer "sometimes I was good when training sometimes I was bad, well it depended if it was warm or cold, I didn't like the cold"

At least Warnock would be relatively short term, probably just until the season is over. The other two frighten me more.
Other way round for me. Warnock was poor for Boro. He's finished and his style of football is at odds with the squad we have assembled. There are literally no positives. With McCann at least he got Hull up as champions last year and was doing OK this year. Why would you bring in Warnock when we have a squad of players who are recruited to play fast, progressive football. I don't really want McCann but compared to Lennon and Warnock I can see some benefits.

He used to be indecisive, but he's not sure anymore.

I think Keanes style will work in lower leagues and with players of poorer ability. He will be able to scare them a bit and get them up to produce that bit more.
It's when you get up to higher levels ,good players with good contracts who are loaded won't respond the same way.

Was Warnock as bad as made out on here for you

I'm well aware of how betting odds work.

If it was as nailed on at the moment as we all seem to think, insiders would have lumped on and the price would be more like 1/5 or 1/6.

It suggests to me there's still a way to go in terms of an agreement.
Indeed, I would agree and tbf o thought that was what you were implying.

But I'm just too excited to take the time to think about anything atm. Ha'way

Oh behave yourself.

We are a confirmed third division club that cannot get fu***ng promoted ffs.

The days when people should be grateful to manage or play for us are long gone mate.

Nobody loves this club more than me, but that is the reality. Just being Sunderland isn't enough anymore.

The small-time mentality you speak of is what got us here in the first fu***ng place.
The big time is here for us to grab, and yes, I am grateful to Keane for seeing us as worthy.

When we are back with the big boys, then you can Lord it, but until then, smell the coffee and get in the real world.
Each to there own like but we start being sub serviant to employees is a sad day IMHO.

No matter what league we are in the club should be bigger than anyone employed by them.

Absolutely spot on

I don’t think he was poor at Boro. He improved them and was popular with the fan base until the very end. Also his strengths in organising a good defensive structure are what we lack and we will always have players that can create. He’s not my first choice but I don’t think he would be a bad appointment until the end of the season. He knows the game inside out imo.
