Roy Keane

I do not want Keane to be our coach, i want him to be our manager , get good coaches and let Roy manage/pick teams/make decisions , if he is coming. Both Clough and Ferguson managed their teams while others coached, that is what Roy was used to and thats how he should do it now.
Fair point. If Keane comes I hope he doesn’t bring Tony Laughlin with him, who seemed like a complete understudy. If he does, he needs someone else as well. Coaches who will coach in a more modern way and then let Keane do the oversight and motivation.

You mean the Tony Loughlan who has been an Assistant Manager in the Premier League for the past 10 years?

Very different prospect and advisor this time around if he was coming. I’d be all for it.

Exactly mate. The fella evidently doesn't like Keane and what he's saying is completely false.
I probably wouldn’t like him if I was a Geordie, scouser, Man City fan, or maybe even a random neutral as he’s quite cocky, rude at times etc

But we’re all SAFC here, he won us tier 2 breaking the record points after I thought we were going bust about a year before, he gave me so many memories and gave me a feeling that we were a tough side to play and we had his back and he had ours etc.

As a fan of the lads, to dislike him is bizarre. I don’t like him, I love the man.

We have a head coach/DoF model though

I suspect Keane will turn it down and this will be the reason given, ie a lack of autonomy. I just think that at the age of 50 and with a comfortable gig as a pundit our vacancy just isn't attractive enough given the conditions and potential short contract.

I am not blasting anyone. I merely said I did not think he would be a good choice, then the hysterics took over.
There are no hysterics mate. You alluded to him bankrupting us - he didn't, you said Bruce's hands were tied with a limited budget when he took over - they weren't, he signed players for money we'd never spent before, you talked about us struggling at the bottom of the Premier League - yes, we did but those years had nothing to do with Roy Keane who got us and kept us there in the first place after two utter embarrassments of record points lows.

We were in the shit when Keane left. Just lost to Bolton badly. New signing from Spurs were rank, amongst the other rank signings.

I'm struggling to think of him working under a DoF, but why interview in the first place? We know that Keane would do his homework and wouldn't even entertain the idea if he didn’t like it.
