The standards in training, matchday and players everyday lives would lift under Keane like his previous stint as manager.

The fear factor will be back on the pitch with other teams.

Players will be fit, play to last whistle scoring late goals.

I wasn't to keen (no pun intended) at first but more I think about it, it makes sense and I'm on board with the appointment if it happens.

You cant really teach leadership. Its either in you or not to want to lead / be a leader

Organising a team is trainable. Nothing wrong with his organisational skills last time with us
Well we seem to have appointed a plethora of managers in the last 60 years that didn’t seem to understand that.

If/when Roy Keane comes back I hope he flattens the first person to call him Keanesy. It will definitely win over any doubters in our fanbase.

Could be Keanosy or Roysy

Also, you think Dan Neil for example sees him as the angry man off the telly, rather than one of the greatest midfielders of the premier league? Absolute nonsense. Footballers respect top level achievements , regardless of generation.
Any of our players would have to have some sized ego not to respect Keane.

It goes against everything most of us said we were buying into just one year ago.
At least when he was last here he was still relevant as a name to the players we had or then bought in the transfer window. Players like Kavanagh, Connolly, Edwards, the young ManU lads. This time our players know him as the angry man off sky who hasn't done owt of note in management for over ten years. Baffling the way our support seems to fawn over certain ex players/manager's like lovestruck teenagers. Always looking to the past.
Mate the nostalgia on here also frustrates me - i'm less sold on Defoe than most for that reason much as i love him as a bloke and his quality during his previous time here - but i actually think Keane did very well here last time and will fit the set up more than people think. He does have football 'philosophy', ambition, nous. He is known to be far better with people than he is credited for- he is well liked around Manchester from those who know him who say he is a fun, warm character - but he clearly doesn't suffer fools. His history and experience will help younger players and younger players need self discipline to grow and develop.
