Imagine the look of utter disgust that would be on Roy's face if fat Steve Evans and his crew were still jumping about on the sidelines 🤣
Or when we play Oxford with the that fat gobshite Robinson in the other dugout. He'll probably sit that one out now.

It’s a lot like the ‘emperor’s new clothes’ all this adulation of Keane?

People have very short and selective memories - I suppose that’s what being so shite for so long does as we all crave the slightest success?

I really hope it works out, but it’s a massive risk imo

Emperors New Clothes would be Lee Johnson. Talk of reputation of youth development, fast paced football, philosophies etc. having achieved nowt in the game.

Keane came here first time with no experience, took us from bottom of the league to promotion in the same season and kept us up. I don’t think anyone thinks he was perfect last time or that this doesn’t come without it’s issues.

But it’s Roy Keane. A massive name in the game. He’s achieved success here before. He’s not afraid of expectation or ambition. A lot of the time he was here it felt very good. I, and most others, think this is as exciting an appointment as is imaginable at this level of football.

Populist, but not very intelligent choice. Rather have some one who has done it before and knows the division - Grant McCann.

Might be a good time to return to your old ways if you think roy keane is the answer , he would destroy these kids
Aye like the 6-0 drubbing At Bolton, 5-1 at Rotherham, 4-0 at Pompey
It will raise standards by him simply being here
They will be in awe of a bit of fear for your boss is not always a bad thing, they’ll think twice about giving up like above that’s for sure
The expectation of Sunderland is nothing to him all the other candidates mentioned will wilt like the others

@The Hunter you heard out he’s a local journalist for those who don’t kna
Don't pretend to be ITK these days but my contacts who ought to be tell me that contact has been made. Largely third parties at this stage but things could move quickly.
Saying that, the club will have more than one egg - and more than one basket.
But if you wanted an appointment to get an immediate reaction, this would be it.

Thanks mate. Is there any sort of indication which way it’s looking?

Thanks for the info, and keep us posted when you can.
I would be misleading you if I said I knew for certain that he will accept. As you will know he has a role with Sky but I do think the offer of the job till the end of the season makes sense for him and the club. If he accepts the job and it’s just my view that I think he will and we are promoted he will almost certainly be offered a long term contract
