Listen, getting Keane in would be repeating mistakes made in the past, with a manager who'd struggle to keep a reign on what the owner and DOF want. It would just be so Sunderland to get him in and not even make the play offs.

But....... what is also so Sunderland is that massive roar rolling around the stadium when a team is fully at it right to the final minute. It's also when players fully commit to a full blooded challenge and it's also singing in the stadium that makes the concrete move, often for 5 minutes after the final whistle.

Nobody can instigate an atmosphere like that but Roy Keane. Nobody!

We even named a couple of TV series about our most powerful asset - passion!

We've fucked up the so called thinking man's approach to promotion, now let's go full Sunderland and intimidate our way back into it!

Imagine Keane and defoe at the club. Surely that would lift any players performance wanting to impress them. These men have achieved an amazing amount in the game. Unlike Johnson, parky, Ross I could go on. Just their presence should give every player a 5/10% improvement in training and games that's without the knowledge they have.

There could be fireworks.
What RK says about him is

“He threatened to become a top, top player, but hasn’t pulled up trees and needs to do more.”

If wa Aiden had listened to those words the 2nd half of his career maybe wouldn’t have gone Dropped from Ireland team > Dropped from Ireland squad. Champions league > Premierleague > Championship > League 1
