Look what happened as soon as you added Diouf and Chimbonda to that dressing room. He didnt have a clue what to do with them and we ended up with players threatening to stab each other in the tunnel. He then walked as soon as he realised he couldnt keep it up.

If we ever get back to a level when we are signing overpaid prima donna players like Diouf and Chimbonda, then Keane will have done his job. And then some.

The idea that Dan Neil, Ross Stewart or Dennis Cirkin is going to be sitting on their phone/social media in the dressing room whilst Keane is in there, is for the birds. That's rather the whole point.

Yes, it didn't work out for him at Ipswich, but it hasn't worked out for any manager at Ipswich for a long time. Sometimes clubs just go in to decline and its very tough for anyone to arrest that decline. We should know that as well as any fan base.

The man is a winner and a legend of the game. He has a good history with this club, still speaks affectionately about it and is keen to get back in to management. He's one of the few people in football who can walk in to a dressing room and command instant respect. I can't even begin to think how much of a boost it would give the young lads in our squad to be working for Roy Keane. How much they'd get from it.

I've heard him speak a lot about football and reflect on the times he had - and mistakes he made - at SAFC and Ipswich. I have no doubt whatsoever that he'd be a better manager now than he was back then. Let's not foget that back then, he was in his 30s and fresh off the back of his playing career. He admits that that there was a lot he needed to know, but didn't back then.

If he wants the job it's an absolute f***ing no brainer for me.

Best change of going up this season. BHH !! I’m biased though, I’m one of those fans who’d of had him back every single day since the day he left.
 
I dont understand why people think we will get somebody markedly better when it's only going to be a short term gig.

Football is shite at the nest of times, id honestly go for a bit of excitement and get people buzzing for the run in. If you're going to appoint mick Mccarthy instead then what do you really have to lose?

Roy Keane absolutely dragged this club up from its knees once.
