I have some great memories of roy keane as manager. His first transfer window, sheff wed away, winning the league, spurs at home, Newcastle at home. In the end though it was awful. Would i be completely against him coming in until the end of the season? Probably not. Not sure if long term he’s the answer.

Would be a disgusting appointment. Hasn’t been a manager in over 10 years and there’s probably a reason for that. Don’t understand some of our fans obsession with him tbh

he pissed off experienced players there and didnt get the job after o neill which was what was supposed to happen.

the rest of his time in football went better for short than keane
I’d love to see a conversation between you and him when he realises what a worthless leech you are.

Perhaps because he was a success when he was here?

Roy is dying to get back to work in football. He once derided the commentary ex pros did but accepts now it’s part of the game. He only does it because he’s not involved at club level. To many owners Roy is toxic …he didn’t handle the Irish players well on some occasions and pissed off clubs like Everton when excuses for James McCarthy and Seamus Coleman squad withdrawals due to injury were questioned publicly.
Roy wants the Job….we just need to ask….just my opinion.

Love Roy Keane me, but he wouldn't be a fit in the new regime and would fall out in no time.

I wouldn't object, especially for 6 months, as it would be a helluva ride, but he's not a fit.

Give him the job till the summer and see how it goes.

We have unfinished business.

The SOL will be bouncing on saturday with JD. Keane too...you can only imagine.

It probably isn't the right decision to bring him back given his experience and track record, but by fuck what a bucking bronco ride it would be.

Appointing him would be high risk, but I'd love to see him try.

Aye. Give it him till the end of the season imho.

In terms of tensions the issue would be player recruitment. Not an issue till the end of the season.

As bringing JD back it would be a no brainer for me.

Over the last few years we've tried, up and coming managers (Ross), tried and tested at this level (Grayson, Parkinson), tactical and able to develop youth (LJ) and none of them have worked.

Why not try someone with a bit of passion that will have the respect of the players from the off and one that would get the fans buzzing!

Nothing else has worked, may as well roll the dice
