Decent servants to the club.

McShane was signed for relative buttons, and we got a few for him off Hull, as well as a loan spell.

McCartney juts didn't work out. It happens.

He's still one of the biggest names in the game. It takes nothing to answer a phone call and he'd having pulling power.

I'd honestly love him to come back.

If he came and we were to win Saturday the boost to the city will be off the scale.

I think Keane is class as a pundit but I think the game has moved on since he last managed. The current squad would shart themselves if he was appointed though.

Funny how willing some were to pick Lee Johnson's CV apart, yet overlook that with the bloke who hasn't managed in over a decade because "he'd give the place a whole lift".

We had a great couple of seasons under Keane 15/16 years ago, but leave the past in the past. Let him continue to do his footballing Simon Cowell act on Sky Sports, and look for a serious appointment.
Keane at least has a promotion on his CV tbf.

Whats moved one in League One? There's no- one playing total football in this league apart from our last knacker with his protocols and POMOS....look where that got us against Bolton.

All you need down here is someone the players will take notice of and to play the game simple enough for the League One standard players to understand.

I feel we're trying to be too clever when all you need is some sweat, determination and some balls to get out of this league.

Naturally, the fee paid for them isn't their fault. That doesn't mean that spunking nearly 40m (that was huge money for us at that time) on a defense that was absolutely shocking wasn't incredibly bad recruiting/management

That's it, I've got nothing against those players.

We just could have signed better players for less money.

Game has moved beyond him very quickly I think. Unable to adapt to modern management, which is a shame because I love the bloke and he would motivate them well.

Would take him over McCarthy; who the guardian are saying is on the shortlist mind. Jesus Christ.
Not sure myself.

Given he was pretty aggravated in his interview with Neville over the increasing popularity of philosophies, I'm not sure how well they would get on.

He had a very strong philosophy when he was here, it just wasn't part of the football lingo of the time.

It's a bit of an insult to the likes of Kierkegaard to call what passes for a 'footballing philosophy' a real philosophy anyway.

I think that’s bollocks tbf. Nobody is getting promoted because they ‘want it more’ these days.

Sadly Keane falls into the category of "failed manager" as his record clearly shows.
Been overlooked for years now. There's a reason for that

Agree would rather have Keano than MM
