Lee Johnson Press Conference



It was a f***ing stupid thing to say, and a massive distraction for the players before the match. Imagine hearing that from your leader. I did listen to the press conference live and I knew straight away that the injection comment would cause controversy. It was more than likely just his shit tactics on the day which caused that result, but his stupid comments in press conferences is still unnecessary and ill-advised. We all knew it right from the start that he talks absolute bollocks most of the time.

Aye, it looked odd when I typed it 😂. I was asking if you were suggesting it's not shite to link Burge's heart issue to the vaccine. Apart from there being a higher preponderance of myocarditis in people who've had Covid than those who've been vaccinated Johnson is a role model and shouldn't be putting stuff out there which he obviously hasn't researched fully.

Surely he wouldn't of just come out with it though? Must be off some information from the tests that have been done.

Given the vaccine hesitantcy among players it was unwise of him to wade into the argument imo. I fully accept everyone is entitled to an opinion on the subject but given his position he should at least have been able to quote facts to back it up rather than just running the idea up a flagpole.

I don't get why people are not able to accept that the vaccine does cause health problems tbh

Totally right. Anyway, I'm sure the same thought has crossed all our minds (even of a fervent pro-vaxxer like me).

Exactly this, he wasn’t going off half cocked he was relaying what he will have been told by medical professionals dealing with Lee Burge. I have had two conversations, with two different doctors over the past 3 months and both of them were happy to tell me about the negatives associated with the vaccine. But hey ho what do they know compared to the wise old SMB!
