Worst result in our history.

Its only the worst because it beat our previous worst (this season - 5-0) which beat our previous worst ( this season 4-0 ) . . . we've been beaten by 4,5 and 6 this season. Let that sink in

Based on the level it has happened at - yes. Mind the Southampton 8-0 and the Mags 5-1 are up there like.
Nowhere near in the level of performance imo....the Southampton game we were in it when Fletcher should have had a penalty and their keeper could have gone.

Today's "performance" had absolutely no part where we were actually in the game at any point.

Outfought, out thought and outplayed from the very first minute....absolutely terrible.

Not read the thread. For context, apparently my Great Grandfather never rated Charlie Hurley because we were humped in his first couple of games. It seems harsh but for him it was rock bottom. For my dad it was the start of something special.

Today is the worst result in out history. No question. Other results might have hurt more. This is rock bottom.

Had this debate on the way home today. I can take a loss, I was at the 8-0 and the 5-1. But in the context of the division were playing on, we've absolutely never been worse. Please if you think differently, quote is because I'd love to hear someone say otherwise.

One thing I'd say that's mint is the lads were already buzzing for the next one. Sunderland are mint and bad games can't put us off like.

Not the largest defeat but definitely the worst. The context is all there, a promotion chasing team in their 4th season at this level against a recently promoted team in the bottom half.

39 goals against so far this season 🤦🏻‍♂️

I think in context it is our worst ever defeat surely? Not because of the amount of goals conceded as there have been bigger defeats.

Presume you weren't at Southampton.
If I remember correctly we should have had a nailed on penalty that day when it was nil nil and we sort of kept on going- awful day but Bolton because its the third tier and the players gave up seemed a lot worse. Even the Mags 5-1 horror show we pulled one back - 6-0 down and it was only going one way, nobody wanted to put up a fight. So as terrible as Southampton away, Bolton was another level.

That 5-1 is no where near this.
Bristol Rovers 4-0 in 88 still sticks in my mind, but that was a blip. We have beaten that low twice this season.
