How much of the blame attaches to the manager isn't the point. He has to go because we cannot refuse to act after the worst result in more than a hundred years. And not even the excuse of it being a one-off sticks. Johnson carries the can. there can be no other outcome
Any manager in any other field would feel honour bound to offer his resignation ( we may or may not accept but I suspect at best we would say , game by game now ) .
If he doesn't he's a chancer

Today can be completely laid at his doorstep because of the fundamental changes he made after a clean sheet previous game. He aint good enough. Simple as that. Plus the result against such poor opposition. Just get shot. Give someone else a go at managing the team

A Co commentator is only ever going to mention the on pitch performance and possible error. He's never going to go any deeper than that, especially when he's employed ny said club.
Collins gets paid to attend and co commentate on Sunderland games, he can't come out and directly criticise the manager.
Again, I'll say the obvious point of my original post, Winchester didn't track a man that was 2 yards behind him and allows a simple tap in. That is down to the player wanting to track back by doing the basics that shouldn't require a manager to tell him what to do.

I don't need to say owt about Johnson's incompetence as he should go but I've had previous with TravellingMackem (as have many others) as he jumps on posts. I'll entertain myself with him so don't take what I said in that post you quoted seriously, it was more that Collins said exactly what I'd criticized about Winchester, nothing more ;)

If I wanted to comment about Johnson I'd post in the Sack Him Now or Johnson Out thread but there's not much to say apart from sack him now and Johnson out anyway ;)

Yep - we need a completely different culture at the top. All pally nickname bollocks is not what we need. Hopefully it's not too late to turn this around, but I now don't believe LJ is the right man for this job.

If he is still here Monday you know nothing will get him the sack.
Think he will be because I dont think KLD wants to go up until he has built a young hungry team.So LJ will be the fall guy, could also be the reason JD hasnt signed if he got wind of that outlook

I can’t get over who badly we played at the back, we didn‘t look in control once. I’m not a Gooch hater, and keep off Neils back, but both were being bullied in the first 15 minutes and inviting pressure to a disorganised and scared looking back four (Batth aside). The game looked 100mph and we didn’t seen to know how to slow it down. Not once.

Going forwards, I thought we looked like we might get a couple. Another completely baffling display.

The players were a joke today, Bolton showed up with some character and that was all required to turn us over 6-0.

I’d blame them more than Johnson, but what can you do, Johnson is the most influential figure we actually can change…so he has to go.

It's over rated.

He sets them up to fail.
Consistently.
And no matter how bad you think that team is?
A team that was leading the league last week should never ship 6 indefensible goals to a team in the bottom half of the table.

If he was worth praising during the good times he deserves criticism for today, and pompey, and sheff wed, and Lincoln etc etc.

The powers that be, at this club, really ought to amend their transfer policy.
It clearly isn't working, and the fans are rapidly running out of patience, with paying hard earned money, to watch absolute horror shows, like the one today.
We need a brick shithouse of a midfielder. What data do you analyse to find one of them? Use your eyes and stuff your data up your arse.
