A valid point from Mr Crick ? I think so.

@MichaelLCrick: It’s outrageous that #MUFC are reported to be demanding a £12m “survival” bonus from Newcastle United on the proposed Jesse Lingard loan deal. Other relegation contenders would rightly complain that MUFC had a huge financial interest in helping Newcastle to avoid relegation.
He's their player they can demand what they like.

I think I may have a bit of late night dyslexia going on as I read the team they're playing as Al Tithead.
he's on MOTD mate

how's that different to the player having a clause where manu get an extra payment if newcastle qualify for europe, stuff which you hear of all the time? they'll have a financial interest in helping newcastle over someone like spurs.

Why did you pretend to support us?

😂 😂 😂

What a sad bastard man.

Lingard doesn’t want to go to the mags. What do they not get? He isn’t fascinated by the project. His ‘good mate’ Trippier hasn’t sold the project to him.

He’ll go to West Ham for free at the end of the season.

Oh dear. I am now blocked by Keith! For saying:

"Keith - that’s quite cryptic. As someone with influence you need to change the narrative - you can be a uber nufc fan without fawning over KSA."

I read the same:

"The Webster ruling states that any player who signed a contract before the age of 28 can buy himself out of the contract three years after the deal was signed. If he is 28 or older the time limit is shortened to two years."

"You may not know that Section 17 of the FIFA Code, otherwise known as Webster's Law, requires a player to apply to terminate his contract 15 days before the end of the season, and not to move to a club within the country's home country. Another club like him before moving on."

Doesn't apply here.

£25m is nothing for a Premier League striker that's been hitting double figures.

Put it this way. The bid wouldn't have been accepted. We activated a release clause. Our main striker is injured. We picked up a stop gap for a fee that is nothing to us. I know it is hard to comprehend us buying a short term squad player for more than what your club is worth, but that's what it is. We got £30m for ayoze and similar for sissoko. It's only huge sums when you're looking up from a couple of divisions below
Another fat mess on ignore

Another reason is Lingard sign a contract extension only one year ago.

You mean sign an extension and then befoee end of season say he is invoking this? Interesting!

Mag just said when someone compared it to mags quoting man utd 50m for Sean Longstaff...

"Also this is totally different. Longstaff was starting every game and had years left on his contract. This was basically 'he isn't for sale.' Lingard on the other hand will literally leave for free in 6 months. Don't compare the 2 as they are nothing alike."

The kid barely played in 18/19! It's akin to in the CL every season. They are the most un-knowledgeable fan base going.

I missed the ‘ed. Lingard signed a contract extension on 31st Dec 2020. Man Utd offered him it to help him when he was suffering from depression.

You got the link for that?

" Players that have completed the “protected period” of their contract (2 to 3 years) will have a 15 day window after the last game of the season to declare that they will be terminating their contract"
