Same here, I’m suspicious of rogan only because of who hang on his every word… ditto that Jordan Peterson.

Well given there are a couple of songs still up, heart of gold has 235m (just from that compilation)I’m really not sure what he was thinking? Obviously Spotify aren’t going to remove the podcast that brings in several millions of views per week, for an artist who only has several tracks on the platform with over 1m views for as long as they have been on the platform.
Maybe he thought it would be a domino effect and more artists will join in? I guess if any do have an issue with Rogan, the test will be whether they or their record companies love money more than making a stand.
I think when it was looked at quite a lot of the 200 weren't medical professionals. Rogan has lost his head with covid though.Seems so given there was also a letter from hundreds of doctors/medical professionals
Who says he was? I doubt he gives a fuck to be honest. It's just ol' Neil being Neil.Maybe they are happy with Rogan’s content and don’t succumb to the demands of rich rock stars. I’ve lived Neil Youngs music for nearly 50 years and admire his stance but he shouldn’t have been surprised they said no.
I’ve never forgiven young for his awful autobiography I read the first few chapters of once. Luckily I didn’t buy it.
They are both minor figures on the world so you are losing nothing from ignoring them but I think Peterson is far different. His stance comes from decades of academic study and work as a clinical psychologist. There is plenty in his work to make you think about stuff. Rogan just seems to be good at talking to peopleSame here, I’m suspicious of rogan only because of who hang on his every word… ditto that Jordan Peterson.
Record companies and companies that buy 50% of back catalogues are in the business of making money so there will be mild pressure on Young to reverse his decision. If I'm honest, I'm disappointed in Young here. For one it means I can't listen to his music and secondly he shouldn't be calling for censorship. I don't listen to Joe Rogan but I'm not interested in stopping others listening to him, regardless of what he or his guests say.I’m really not sure what he was thinking? Yeah, maybe 20 podcasts worth of listens? I think that as Rogans show brings in a young audience (think the average age is mid 20s) that will be a factor in why they continue to back him.Well given there are a couple of songs still up, heart of gold has 235m (just from that compilation)
Does he use that as a shit shield to lend his more whacky stuff/thoughts credibility? I don’t have a horse in this race, but he made a tit of himself recently with his climate denial bullshit…. on some podcast, not sure who the host was…His stance comes from decades of academic study and work as a clinical psychologist.
Seems a bit sensative TBH.Neil Young is class like, doesn't give a fuck and never has
You could buy it.Record companies and companies that buy 50% of back catalogues are in the business of making money so there will be mild pressure on Young to reverse his decision. Heaven forbid. You could buy it.
I know. If it continued I would go out and buy it all back. You could buy it.
Haha. I think Peterson is one of the most misinterpreted people out there. The classic was Cathy “so you’re saying” Newman.Does he use that as a shit shield to lend his more whacky stuff/thoughts credibility? He is a bit radged though. I'm not convinced he's wired up correctly. He's a bit Sheldon Cooperish. They are both minor figures on the world so you are losing nothing from ignoring them but I think Peterson is far different. His stance comes from decades of academic study and work as a clinical psychologist. There is plenty in his work to make you think about stuff. Rogan just seems to be good at talking to people
Was he calling for censorship? Seems more like he was happy for them to crack on with rogan as long as he wasn’t on the same platform? It was one or the other he said, no?For one it means I can't listen to his music and secondly he shouldn't be calling for censorship.
I've no idea who he is, some podcaster I presume
He said its Young or Rogan, you can't have both. I took that as an ultimatum, if you don't kick him off, I go.Was he calling for censorship? Seems more like he was happy for them to crack on with rogan as long as he wasn’t on the same platform? It was one or the other he said, no?
