Somebody mentioned on here, a while ago, loads of celebrities are getting done for noncing back in the day. If you get done before you sell your back catalogue it’s worth a fraction. Not that I’m saying Mr Young is a nonce by any stretch, but whenever somebody sells the rights to their music, it always makes me think is something more sinister in the background

Maybe they are happy with Rogan’s content and don’t succumb to the demands of rich rock stars. I’ve lived Neil Youngs music for nearly 50 years and admire his stance but he shouldn’t have been surprised they said no.
I’ve never forgiven young for his awful autobiography I read the first few chapters of once. Luckily I didn’t buy it.

Nah. The rise of streaming has shrunk money from sales. I think it's one last big payday for them and their family.

Amongst them though, there’s bound to be one or two who are looking to the future. Gazza Glitter & Uncle Rolf’s streaming numbers, vinyl sales & radio plays won’t be as high post revelations, meaning the rights are worth a couple of quid less too.

We are talking 50 year ago now. I doubt any will get done and it would be extremely hard to prove and the lasses will be in their 60s.

Well it’s common knowledge Elvis, Jimmy Paige & Brian Jones all got involved before kick off. All seems to be ok for them to do it.

I’m really not sure what he was thinking? Obviously Spotify aren’t going to remove the podcast that brings in several millions of views per week, for an artist who only has several tracks on the platform with over 1m views for as long as they have been on the platform.

Maybe he thought it would be a domino effect and more artists will join in? I guess if any do have an issue with Rogan, the test will be whether they or their record companies love money more than making a stand.
