if we get shot of Hume & O'Brien, then maybe room for or a midfielder, or we may yet need a GKIf we signed Defoe, it's unlikely we'll have room for anyone else over 21 in the wage cap.

Definitely some constrasting ITK stuff going on. If its definitely a no then whats the point of coming back up for talks like its being reported elsewhere? Also contradicts Johnson saying we're worked hard and being thorough with

Stanley Matthews played his last league game aged 50……so JD has a few years left in him!On his play style, a load said he couldn’t do the lone striker role when Allardyce came in.
Then he did.. magnificently if truth be told.
Aye he’s 39, but by all accounts he’s in good nick for his age, and you can imagine he still has the quality
Not having that like
Can't decide if that's legit or not.

Who would be our third choice keeper if Burge can't play?if we get shot of Hume & O'Brien, then maybe room for or a midfielder, or we may yet need a GK
Be Carney from the u23s. Suspect we could use an emergency loan if worst come to worst thoughWho would be our third choice keeper if Burge can't play?
Might be worth persisting, I think Patterson is decent enough at this level and if we get really unlucky can always use the emergency loan situation we were on the wrong end of several times last season.
I would imagine just words of appeasement after the backlash from fans after his previous comments.Lj said they are working very hard to get him in , sounds very positive that imo
Of course you would imagine that. Lots of people embarrassed themselves over this.I would imagine just words of appeasement after the backlash from fans after his previous comments.
The club are clearly interested and have obviously tabled an offer. I’d like us to sign him but not at any cost. If he wants more than the club deem reasonable financially (unlikely I think), or if he wants guarantees about playing time that we simply can’t give him, then he might go elsewhere.
If that happens, fair enough. I’d assume we will bring in a forward this window, whether it’s Defoe or someone else. The recruitment team needs to get whoever they think is the best option for the club, leaving emotion out of it.

The thing is Bob you’re full of shit, you’re bitter because i know this and call you out on it.It says on twitter deals can change, re JD.

Interesting, so what your saying is get Carney sent out on loan for the rest of the season.I'm not too sure if we can with Carney in our squad mind.
The rules for an emergency loan say a professional keeper is one that has made less than 5 professional appearances.
He made 26 appearances whilst on loan for Portadown in the Northern Ireland Premiership. If that's a professional league then his time there could mean we have to use him if needed.
Not over where I sit they weren't. Never heard any defoe songs at allthere were coming from the back of the south stand during the first half
i do believe theres some truth in it, i think Johnson is reluctant and he said we are looking at all options.Fair enough. But you were sticking up for the article
