I think that we have seen obvious examples of unprofessional journalism in the north east with the antics of the sycophantic hypocrites who have covered the Saudi takeover of NUFC.Who knows? It's a negative story, perhaps it attracts more people to read the article etc. Perhaps the journalist dislikes Johnson or has an agenda, it happens all the time.
Come straight out with it after the match that he wants to sign him. Far too many people trying to put the boot in. We're trying to get promoted and should be doing that together now. If we fail then should rightly be an inquest.
Where are these thousands of people not going? Are they same thousands who don't go because they can't pay cash at a turnstile? There are certainly thousands who would go if we were in the PL and they could watch superstars. What other cohorts of fans are not going and why? Or is it all a load of shite? He’ll put a couple of thousand on the gate
What about when he stood on the ball, lost it and Portsmouth took it up our end and nearly scored. Poor decision making which in previous games has cost us 3 points. This - we need to get behind everyone.
The reaction yesterday when a ball bobbled on the lifting pitch and Gooch inadvertently took it out. Absolutely pathetic from some.
Definitely done it on purpose like...What about when he stood on the ball, lost it and Portsmouth took it up our end and nearly scored. Poor decision making which in previous games has cost us 3 points.
I’m not going over the same basic points as last night like. As I said if he’d said it was good news you’d believe it. Never mind
Just shows how angry this forum gets about stuff.
Brilliant
I genuinely don't see why thousands would suddenly turn up because of Defoe if they didn't when we were on a great run.Where are these thousands of people not going? It’s because you’re wrong mate.
Journalist hears something about someone and prints it. Said someone comes out and says it’s wrong and the truth is the opposite.
Who do you believe? I’m not sure what you can’t understand about that.
I’m not wrong. You aren’t even reading what I said. It’s not about believing either. That’s the point.
Like talking to a brick wall on here! I’ve explained it further up. If you can’t grasp that it’s fine, have a good day!
you’re more sensitive than our lass.

The days of most football journalists having a set of morals, not to mention good, reliable contacts who respect them, has long gone.
People who hang onto their every word and take what they say as gospel are highly naive.
Bet nobody in the club shop has thought to check they've got enough 'D', 'E', 'F' or 'O' letters for the backs of shirts.
Is there any end to your meaningless digs at the manager?Just playing devils advocate ...Johnson might have underestimated the fans desire for JD to return and is feigning interest in Defoe to quieten the horses......... I have nee idea whether JD is still able to perform at the age of 39 or is fit enough to do so .I do know that i would rather see JD coming on with ten minutes to go rather than OB thats for sure .......The manager and owners will do whats best for them as will JD but if im being honest its a gamble .TBH fans are fickle and do their best efforts basking in the glory of hindsight .What do you think the fans will say if JD comes to us and is over the hill and unable to do the job?I guess it will be LJ fault for not ignoring the fans! I personally would like us to be able to outbid Oxford and sign Defoe as if we don't and he does well at Oxford it will be written in the stars that we will be playing oxford in the playoff final and I know who my money will be on to score the winner.I think the mood will be septic for LJ if johnson does well anywhere else and rightly the focus will be on KLD as to why we cannot outbid Oxford.
Under the circumstances this wil be hard for LJ and you dot know whats going on behind the scenes ..Were supposed to have a well oiled recruitment machine with a plan and have a list of players to go for and one of them must be a striker (or they are idiots )but we dont know the limits put to LJ it might be we can only afford to get one striker in and it might be between defoe (who does have a question mark over him)and another fit striker ........ what a decision to make ! Put yourself in lj position What would you do if its a choice JD or another fit striker?
No, neither do I.I genuinely don't see why thousands would suddenly turn up because of Defoe if they didn't when we were on a great run.
Any it’s the pitch fault for him not being able to control a footballThis - we need to get behind everyone.

Is there any beginning to your analytical acumen? Is there any end to your meaningless digs at the manager?

Because to many fans signing defoe would be the most exciting thing to happen to the club in a few seasons. New signings create excitement and interest. Just the way it works. Like every club we have a lot of fans who pick and choose games. I’ve always said I would rather go and watch Sunderland win than go and watch us get beat off liverpool/man u etc but again fixtures against teams like that create a lot more interestI genuinely don't see why thousands would suddenly turn up because of Defoe if they didn't when we were on a great run.
