NUFC Sportswashing 2022

It’s pretty obvious - between the calamitous manager recruitment process, and this absolute parody of a player recruitment “strategy” - that these new owners haven’t got a f***ing clue what they’re doing.

The most important signing they could make is a well connected “football person”, to run the playing side of the club and manage recruitment. The longer this shambles goes on though, the less chance that anyone capable of doing that job would take it.

Imagine if they went down and PiF lost interest. They'd be unsellable with players on those wages.

Not saying it will happen, but if it did, it would be glorious

It was always going to be difficult
Decent players want success and won’t be willing to be associated with relegation.
But what puzzles me is that Eddie Howe is alone in what players come in, as well as coaching a team that is aweful he has to spend time on recruiting also.
Why oh why have they not got a football director yet that can take over this role and allow Howe to concentrate on the football side ?
Is it because the directors want that involvement and control ?

They needed early signings they have so far brought in 2 players that have no impact on the results.
A centre half was the priority and the cupboard is bare.

Obviously the ideal would be the headchoppers selling up and f***ing off, however as a consolation prize I would take them dispensing with Slavery and her weird lapdog* for their gross incompetence. Odious, attention-hungry creeps who've filled their loyal band of media acolytes with enough bullshine to fertilise the farms of Europe.

*just sacking and banishing, obviously not the style of dispensing with that their owners usually favour.

Have they any interest to lose in the first place though?

They looked in relegation trouble twice under Ashley:

In 2013 he got them 5 players, including 3 French internationals, and kept them up.

In 2016 he got them Shelvey, Townsend, and 2 others - it wasn’t enough (shock) and Big Sam sent them down.

This window they’ve got Steve Nickson doing the transfers along with Howe and Staveley. He was the one who got them Joelinton for 40m and has just got them Chris Wood for 25m. The reason he is in charge is because the new director of football disappeared after a week in the job in December. A few days later a load of reports came out that PIF were going to buy Inter - it still seems that this might happen.

And the only reason Howe is there signing players is because they couldn’t persuade Emery to join.

Meanwhile, Ashley is ready to begin legal action against Staveley - nothing much has been said about this since it was originally reported, but it must involve the mags. She had to take out a loan from Ashley to fund her share in the club. Does Ashley’s legal action relate to that?

They had 3 months to prepare for the transfer window, yet have accomplished almost fuck all aside from getting in some ex Burnley boys. They haven’t done anywhere near as well as the hated Mike Ashley did whenever similar circumstances arose.

And the players they were linked to when the takeover fell through weren’t of any higher calibre than the market they already shopped in:

That list consisted of Mauro Icardi, Nathan Ake, David Brooks, Callum Wilson, Hamza Choudhury, Demarai Gray and Adam Lallana.

It was also stated that there were plans to make significant changes to the backroom staff, make sizeable donations to the Newcastle United Foundation and support Wallsend Boys Club and the Great North Run (via ).

There could be a number of reasons for the above, but the one thing that would explain it all is lack of funding.

There’s plenty of questions for local journos to ask Staveley and co anyway - some hope of that though.

Amanda Slaverley, Cambridge knocked us out the cup!
Amanda Slaverley, Amanda Slaverley,

Amanda Slaverley, You've got ya head, but for how long!
Amanda Slaverley, Amanda Slaverley,

Amanda Slaverley, Amanda Slaverley,

Howe gets up early though. Before the rest.

FACT

Slavery Andy her goon squad have a lot to do though - all that investment in the area can’t be easy to sort out. Maybe that’s their priority? :)

I bet the Mags are f***ing dieing inside.

Put all their morals, reputation & defensive attributes behind these fuckers & it's no better than Ashley & Bruce.

They can defend Slavery all they want, talk about Eddie the 8th being World class and a Tactical genius and defend their shit signings all they want. They are owned by Murderers & they are a tiny cog in a huge Sportswashing wheel. It's nowt like they expected and I think it's f***ing hilarious.
