Have checked and in January 2013, they had 15 points from 21 games, and Ashley signed them Debuchy, Sissoko, Yang-mbwia, Gouffran, and Haidiera by January 23rd. 3 full French internationals plus 2 others.

They stayed up by 5 points, and I remember them having a complete meltdown at Pardew and Ashley for nearly getting relegated. All Pardew’s fault for being shit and Ashley’s fault for hiring him and “not investing”.

By 19th January this year, they have 12 points. The new owners haven’t even got a Director of Football or Chief Executive, botched the managerial appointment and got stuck with Howe, and have only signed 2 players, one of whom is an utter cart horse.

Who’s fault is it this time? Erm… Mike Ashley of course! Meanwhile Caulkin and co are churning out thousands of words from anonymous club sources (ie Staveley) about what a great job Staveley is doing, and the fuckwits are lapping it up

Say what you like about Ashley, but he rarely made a mess like this, and when they did end up in the shit he always bailed them out

Offering odds on who is replacing Eddie Howe

Gerrard couldn’t distance himself from Al qaeda United further when he was at Rangers, yet once Villa came calling he was in the car and down the M6 in a flash.

Zidane couldn’t be arsed to learn English to manage Man Utd, doubt he’s going to manage the mags instead.

Al Nassr make Aubameyang loan offer

Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr have made an offer to sign Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
It is thought the offer is for a loan move until the end of the season.
Some reports have suggested the loan comes with an obligation to buy.
😂🙈

What’s the odds Al Nassr will buy Aubameyang and then sell him to Newcastle for peanuts…

Isn’t MLB well known for just seizing other companies and their assets when he feels like it?

Nah. The king doesn’t get involved in the running of the business, IIRC.
