Told my skunk mates this the other week and they laughed and said they will get much better high profile players,,,Lingard would be a decent signing, hopefully West Ham come in last minute to kick them in the nuts
.. Though he'd said that he wouldn't sign for another Premier club, and not sure why signing for the murderers would be the only realistic chance of Man U getting something for him. Most clubs would want this player ..You must be logged on to see media items
To be fair to Shearer, when he signed for them they had just blown the league and he was seen as the player who would win them the league the following year. All this shite about him signing for Newcastle as they were his team was rubbish, he signed as they were a quality team at the time. No way would he have signed if they were mid table.
Yesterday we brought you news that Atalanta had rejected their £25m offer for Duván Zapata and 24 hours later it is reported they’ve agreed personal terms with the Colombian striker’s team-mate Robin Gosens. The German left wing-back is believed to be open to a move to Tyneside, which is no great surprise given Newcastle are prepared to triple his wages. It remains to be seen if Atalanta will be prepared to sell him. In other left-back news, the Geordies are also sniffing around Bayer Leverkusen’s 21-year-old Dutch defender Mitchel Bakker, while the name of Fenerbahçe centre-half Attila Szalai also features on their extremely long January shopping list.
Not random, scattergun, careless, thoughtless recruitment at all, oh no........
From 'The Fiver';
