You can not travel along a wavelength. A wavelength is a measurement of distance. Or have you redefined wavelength as something else now?

If you want to simplify it to actual visual you only need to look at water itself because that's all waves are and wavelengths are.
The thing is there's so many variations just as there's so many frequencies and so many strengths of force....etc.

You seem to be painting a picture that light is actually sound and it comes from it's source, and somehow zigzags through air reflecting off god knows what and for no particular reason, and then get turned into light when it hits something. Is that really what you are saying?

Ok, potential energy. You have lifted the item off the floor. It now has some potential energy as the object has air pressing, air pressure, down on it. This means that if I let go the object will fall. If I have more air, higher pressure, above the object will have more potential energy so will fall faster. This means that conversely less air, lower pressure, above the object will have less potential energy and fall slowly.

If you could provide some way to test and calculate your new version of any of the fields you're obviously an expert in it would go a long way as to help the rest of us understand.

Until that object is released it remains held by whatever it is holding it, whether it's a helicopter, a shelf, a person hand, a mountain or a jet....etc.
That object is displacing the air it is placed into at every stage from ground to elevation to become potential energy.

Of course. If you offer that object more push it will accelerate faster from the start, until it reaches a point where it cannot overcome the resistance under acceleration and will be slowed..

If the resistance is in unison with the released energy at that lower pressure then the lower pressure will still offer enough to accelerate the object against much less resistance to it, below.
