So with regards to the last part of my post, would it not be to our advantage to speculate to accumulate in the transfer market. Otherwise it looks like Wigan will definitely be taking a top 2 spot. We have a 2BN owner. Is Donald and Methven preventing this from happening ? It just doesn't make sense to lose out on 9m sky money next season, for the sake of some transfer investment.
Only a complete and utter moron would deny the reality the football clubs need to buy good footballers and good footballers cost money. Money which our owner has and our club doesn’t. Keep your holier than thou superfan arselicking shite for another board. We all want the best for our club.He doesn't "need" to do anything to appease the paranoid whiners continually moaning on here. He owns the club, he's spending his money. He's surrounded by experienced professionals at board level and beyond, has a strategy that he's made public and he's prepared to subsidise the club as required. If he has any sense at all he'll stick with it, let's face it he'd have to be a complete and utter moron to listen to the berks stamping their feet on here.
Only another £18.5m left to repay before they’ve actually “put in” anything then. It’s awful how some of you lot try to put a positive spin on this. Everyone else who has their own business are responsible for the running costs of said business. You go on as if they deserve a Blue Peter badge for it. It’s a multi million pound business and you want people to lick Charlie’s hoop over £800k - which was a typical transfer fee for a 2nd division club in the 1990’s. Try harder Robert.CM put in £800k 6 month before KLD came on board SD put just under £1.2 million.

No I'm not defending them at all.Only another £18.5m left to repay before they’ve actually “put in” anything then. It’s awful how some of you lot try to put a positive spin on this. That's not correct it is still 6%.Why would anybody give not Charlie money for his shares, just let not Charlie keep putting his money and hopefully he ends up in negative equity anyway.
I heard his shares are diluted to 5% as he hasn’t put his bit in anyway, one can only hope it’s true.

I see, so has the money he injected been matched as a % by Donald and Methven or has he diluted their share capital? great news if the later! Or was the cash injection in the form of a personal loan that will be written off? I must have missed the announcement could you link me? sorry about that!As I pointed out, he is spending money, He spent money only a week or two ago, he spends money every single day paying to develop our players, to scout new ones, to pay our coaching staff, to fund loans. You don't have to be an "arselicking superfan" to see that, you'd have to possess the memory of a goldfish not to.

Did they actually relay the pitch in the summer or did he just say he planned to relay the pitch?
We did that with Donald and Methven to be truthful and look where they got us. The fawning over them was embarrassing. I think even the most optimistic Sunderland fans were not like that with KLD because he didn’t have to go on like they did. More a case of once bitten; twice shy on the fans part mostly and there’s of course no desperation to the need be liked or (hopefully) no need to pull the wool over the fans eyes like the two chancers did.No I'm not defending them at all.
We all know it went tits up, and I have no sympathy with them at all, especially SD.
It was he who made the major F ups Charlie and Juan were just trying to make it a better job.
But they failed at that.
I honestly hope the club pulls its self away from this, but holding a civic welcome reception at the SOL to welcome KLD to Sunderland is not the way forward.
It makes us look like beggers.
I honestly wonder who thinks this crap up.
I think the media team need booting out.
That's not correct it is still 6%.
My god Coeus you are astounding me every day with ya posts.I have been banging on about this for ages.I will know at the end of window whether we have any intention of going up or are taking the piss. The money you make in the champo is more or less written off by the promotion bonuses to existing players and increased prices having to be paid for new players. Now in my 70th year im desperate to get out of this Div,but in my heart of hearts i know that it would be better to build in this league. It does, the championship is no financial rainbow, its a chasm. At no point should any teams ambition be spend purely to get into the championship.
The time to fundamentally change course as a football club would be in league one as opposed to the championship.
