It does, the championship is no financial rainbow, its a chasm. At no point should any teams ambition be spend purely to get into the championship.
The time to fundamentally change course as a football club would be in league one as opposed to the championship.

No I'm not defending them at all.
We all know it went tits up, and I have no sympathy with them at all, especially SD.
It was he who made the major F ups Charlie and Juan were just trying to make it a better job.
But they failed at that.
I honestly hope the club pulls its self away from this, but holding a civic welcome reception at the SOL to welcome KLD to Sunderland is not the way forward.
It makes us look like beggers.

As I pointed out, he is spending money, He spent money only a week or two ago, he spends money every single day paying to develop our players, to scout new ones, to pay our coaching staff, to fund loans. Who cares and why care? The vast majority of wealthy people don't tend to enjoy people knowing how they conduct their business, how much they invest and where. What's important is that if he's seeking to protect and develop us as a business KLD will continue to invest in his assets.
We've landed one player this window and are attempting to land a few more. It's mental to suggest he hasn't been funding the club, where do you imagine the wages were coming from when we had no spectators in the ground.

They planned to but because of the playoffs there wasn't time for it to bed in before the start of the following season. With the concerts this year, I'm struggling to see how it will work this year, unless it can be laid before them and covered for that period, The lighting system was upgraded, but at this time of year the pitch gets little or no direct sunlight.

We did that with Donald and Methven to be truthful and look where they got us. The fawning over them was embarrassing. I think even the most optimistic Sunderland fans were not like that with KLD because he didn’t have to go on like they did. More a case of once bitten; twice shy on the fans part mostly and there’s of course no desperation to the need be liked or (hopefully) no need to pull the wool over the fans eyes like the two chancers did.
What we need to know is exactly what control he has and have it confirmed in writing. That will give some peace of mind.
