Burnley’s game is off.
Aye saw that just recently and also saw this on Tw@tter about Leeds. Leeds actually used a few young ones earlier in this season didn't they when they had injuries and cancelling games wasn't a thing. This hasn't helped them as those players who played earlier in the season now count towards the 13 outfield players. So therefore they've got to fill in the bench anyway as they can't just name the 14 players that take them over the limit. Yet some teams are purposely not bringing in the younger players and playing them as they will then be counted in the future if they ever have an issue with COVID and want to call off a game.

It's a farce now that teams are requesting games to be cancelled yet probably only have a few COVID cases and could easily name a team with a bench. No doubt some teams have players with 'injuries' that will clear after a week that will be included in the missing players but would suddenly recover and play if forced to by the PL.

That Neville tweet I posted earlier is talking about the 33,000 tests in a week and the amount of positive cases from players & staff yet games are being called off arl ower the place. They've got to revise the rules as it's just going to keep happening and there will be a huge fixture pile up and it will be a right mess. Again, even summit simple like for every so many players out for non COVID a team should have to bring in a young player just like they would pre COVID.

Says it all when no fa cup games were called off

I don't want anything to do with the premier league, it's not about football anymore it's about money, so a team has an injured star player and a case or two of covid and it's ok to call it off!
it stinks, it's too late now to change this because it's already allowed but I would say from next season every game should go-ahead even if it means they need to field a team from the under 15s.

I hope they do that super league and let the mega rich leave football.

I see the pledge has ended and you have to say well done to raising £210,000 for charities 👏

Bad colour contrast to choose for the announcement. After the initial surge of pledges it was clear wouldn't raise as much as some thought. After all that, it's less than £4 for each of the 55,000 screaming fans (anar). In reality it was a few thousand members donating monthly and nowhere near the amount of members that some thought they would get joining the scheme.

Again, piss taking aside it's not to be sniffed at as they've still done really well. Hopefully they get some additional money from the owners to also go to whatever charities so again well done to those who contributed 👏

Surely the PL can see what's happening here but have made such a fuck up they can't do much about it?
Yep I mean imagine what happens if they actually turn down a request there will be all sorts of legal challenges, they’ve made their bed they need to lie in it now. It will stop at the end of this month once the afcon is over and transfer window closes.
