Could've spent less than £25 mill on a hungry, young striker from the Championship; most of the clubs down there are in a financial situation where they would've bitten our hand off and whoever we'd sign would bust a gut at their chance to play in the Premier League.

But no, we get some donkey wrong side of 30 who is so good, he's managed to be in the top league for about four years without anyone really noticing him at all, and we get him as his meagre talents are on the wane.

Why? Because he's played in the Premier League innit. Hit the ground running innit.

Oh really, Dennis for Watford, Cornet for Burnley and Toney for Brentford have never played in the league before and they've scored more this season than, ooh let me see... ...Wood.

Bravo fucknuts.

Eddie Howe said they don’t have a blank cheque. Which says to me they have a budget. In a week they’ve blown £37million and can’t beat two of the worst teams in the league. The mags are going down

All they deserve for jumping into bed with Murderers. It's called Karma

Wood's been wonderful for Burnley in the Premier League but he's slowed down in the last year and it might prove to be a very good deal for the Clarets. It's expected that they'll move for Carroll in the next few days from what I've heard, and the idea of him doing a job until the end of the season and sending the Mags down with an additional £25m in the bank is highly amusing.

Honestly, think in a decent side he would be garbage. Runs around like a nutter on speed. Selfish, runs up blind alleys and wants the glory. Top clubs/players won't have it.

Showed his support for local businesses? Going out for a bit scran. FFS.
Top managers wouldn’t play him. He adds nothing to any other players game.
I had both games on today - that Watford defence was a shambles and they still only scored one. Watford were so wasteful in front of goal and yet they still didn’t keep a clean sheet.
I had both on too.
There wasn’t much between the standards.

Yeah, I agree, although if they can get Trippier in crossing positions it should help.

The signing of Wood is just desperate really. Purely signing a striker, literally any striker, just for the sake of it.

If Bruce had signed him, they would have gone absolutely ballistic.

Will he also miss games in March for New Zealand's WC qualifying?
They don’t have the midfield to support Trippier being that far forward.
The Midfield is their problem. It’s woeful.

Bruce wouldn’t have signed Wood.

Next Everton manager odds already up on Skybet...the way has been paved for a "triumphant" return to SJP, Keegan had a helicopter, will Rafa arrive on a camel?
There’s no way they would re-employ Rafa is there? Nothing says ‘I haven’t a clue what I’m doing’ more than taking on a recently sacked (albeit from another club) manager who managed to get you relegated previously.

They took on beheaddie the eighth who all but relegated Bournemouth. What made it more stupid was the skunks team was built on trying to be hard to beat, howe’s teams were always known for being gung-ho and having to score two just to get a point, how are these players supposed to completely change tact from their natural instincts because someone gets their fans and arrives at work early on his first day?

After our recent sub standard matches im finding it more palatable to come onto this thread than our match reports and post match discussions/ debates and downright depressing comments. At least i can get a smile out of myself here.
FWIW i don't think Rafa is stupid enough to return here, no matter what the salary and surely the scum are not so stupid as to offer it to him..... but then again. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Your joking.

He would manage " Serial killers utd" if the price was right.

Skin thicker than a Rhinos that bloke.

I agree. Last night he was asking for more time - he backs himself and would snap their hands up if offered. But I don't think they will sack EH and would be pretty unfair if they do. So far they have signed a RB and I didn't think Manquillo was that bad and an 8 game replacement for Wilson. They have the worst CM in the league (IMHO) but do not see them linked to CM's?

I can't see them sacking EH either but absolutely nothing suprises me in football anymore.

I mean, Sheffield Wednesday managed to score 4 goals and have 22 shots yesterday!!!
