I said it as soon as they appointed Howe, he is not defensively minded, they will concede goals and that will result in dropped points. Its bordering on criminal (criminally hilarious) that they have not signed a couple of new centre backs as they are desperate for some solidity at the back.

We need a classic dead wood clear out. From 65 minutes on it was clear they would score. The whole team is riddled with weak mentalities, especially defensively. Not a bad day to be isolating at least. The Derby moves a step closer.
Wood out already? He was a bargain 2 days ago

Did Wood look like he could be useful?
When I’ve seen him he’s not very mobile -bit of an Andy Carol ( obv a lot more expensive)

The fundamental problem at Newcastle is simple. They live in the past.

And it's not just the "flash in the pan in the 90s past" but the recent past.

They drew today. Because the current set of players were not good enough to beat fellow strugglers Watford. At home
For whatever reason in the 90+ minutes that followed kickoff, those players were not good enough to beat Watford. They didn't do enough. They didn't pass well enough, create chances, make enough tackles or score enough goals.Simple as that.

But Newcastle fans can't accept that their level is drawing at home with Watford. Instead, it's "blame the past". It's Bruce's fault, it's Ashley's fault.

Ashley spent more money on Joelinton alone... than the average mag will have in a lifetime. But he "underinvested". Staveley spends 20million on Chris Wood and she is suddenly "ambitious".

Bruce is not a world class manager, but under him Lascelles was in a squad that ended up staying up. So much so that he was being mentioned as potentially an England player. His inability to play football today was not "Bruce's fault"

Under Bruce, Willock was on fire. Kept the club up. The fact he was on the bench today is not "Bruce's fault".

But yeah, they'll live in the past. Blame Bruce. Blame Ashley. Blame anyone

The fundamental problem at Newcastle is that they are shit, deluded, arrogant, and the biggest bunch of self righteous knackers in the universe

They have won fuck all since '69 but by default

Yet they deserve more because they are the best fans in the world.....
