We’d be better off with the hardcore being 15,000 - all buying in to what appears to be a successful formula.

The other half piss themselves if we aren’t 3 up at half time.

This problem was created by ‘the yank’ in about 2 seasons of disenchantment but will take a lot longer to put right. Hence my belief, stay up at all costs because it’s better to be 4th bottom than being 4th top in a lower division
 
There was no takeover, the Oxford trio still here and stinking the place out. Only difference is that they won’t turn up at home games now, reliably told that Methven in particular wanted to attend home games but was told in no uncertain terms to stay well clear for his own safety.

Sorry mate- I was taking the piss. Of course we can’t win every game. I stopped thinking that when I was 7.
I’m frustrated by dropping points but I can’t stand the juvenile hysteria when it happens.

So you think the type of investment people want for 3 quality players would be what 200k eh?

We need quality reinforcements, and the OP wanted 3 spine players, which i totally agree with, but it will cost. We have an owner who so far has got it almost spot on so far, so lets give him a chance.

It seems Stewart Donald’s supposed involvement in the club strengthens when we dont win

Except the bloke has been here a year and the only thing he was supposed to have sorted out (new 500k pitch) turns out to be a load of bollix.

He’s attended loads of home games lately :confused:
 
Have an inside contact at Fleetwood who was very impressed with Dreyfuss when he met him. Apparently he had been asking a lot of questions and probing to find out as much as possible on the ins and outs of L1 in general. Can only assume he did that at other clubs too. Picking brains etc. On Fleetwoods return to the SOL last season, the same guy was told KLD hadn't been at the club for a few months as he was on his yacht. This could be taken as not in control or having done lost of homework early to put new backroom staff in place, before leaving them to it.

Methven was mentioned , and ofcourse we all know he is still hanging around.Apparently he helped Fleetwood and put some proposals forward that were decent ideas during covid. However, the baffoon kept name dropping Boris and Matt Hancock, who he apparently roomed with at Eton. Nothing to be proud of at all.

Nothing of what I thought was going to happen has so far happened. My faith in KLD is already on the wane. He will win me over when he starts spending big money.

I’ve no idea what 3 quality players would cost. All I did was point out that millions weren’t mentioned in a post.

I think KLD may turn out to be the best owner of my lifetime but I’m not against him trying a cheat mode type hack every now and then to help “the project” along.

SD & CMs supposed involvement will lurk in the background festering away in the minds of some. It may actually come in handy by possibly taking away some angry toys out of the park type abuse for others at the club both on and off the pitch. Things are gonna get a lot tenser between now and the end of January. Then even more so until the end of the season. The whole games in hand thing will stoke it up even more.

Its gonna get nuttier on here

Hancock went to Kings' School, Chester, and Methven didn't go to Eton until after Johnson had left, so that part's bollocks. The name dropping bit I'd believe/
