I don't understand the price of the club. The current preferred bidder is reportedly paying £30m.

How can it be worth £30m when the club is about to be relegated to L1, on brink of being liquidated and generally completely broken.

And now Mike offering £50m. Seems bonkers to me
Mike 😀 like he’s a f***ing mate of yours. It’s fat cockney bastard.

Whilst he didn’t run them into the ground, I doubt we would think he had done a great job if he was in charge of us

Remember, he appointed the likes of Kinnear and Pardew, plastered the ground with his company name and spent relatively little

He left them on a sound financial footing of course, but we are liars if we wouldn’t have been pissed off with some of the things he did
No owner is perfect but the way the daft twats go on is a disgrace. He ran the club well but their lot didn’t want a well ran club they wanted trophies and bragging rights and we’ve seen how they behave when that’s a possibility.

Having just made a 70 million profit on a club he ran into the ground he probably thinks it’s easy to make money in football , buy Derby cheap now when they are on the brink of going bust , minimal spending on players etc but keep them ticking along and sell them for a profit in a few years will be his idea.
Only a childish mag would think he ran them into the ground.

He ran them well financially. But that’s not the only story

The fact they’ve now got who they’ve got doesn’t make him a good owner all of a sudden

Let’s not forget that he was known as Agent Ashley on here

What a crock of shite.

Being reported he wants the ground as well so the extra is probably attached to buying that off Morris or/and paying the Dell boys out who have it as collateral.

It's all relative. He gave them crowd-pleasing appointments like Keegan & Benitez as well as the wind-ups like Bruce and Kinnear. Even Pardew took them to the brink of the CL with the sensible transfer strategy Ashley implemented for a few seasons.

By and large he was a more competent owner than Ellis Short, and light years better than the Oxford idiot.

Yes because the mags hated him and didn’t rate the job he was doing.
