Makes sense really. His warehouses are not far from Derby so it’s local. They’ve had a couple of bidders drop out so fans may appreciate him as a guarantee the club will survive. Decent infrastructure so he just needs to put a team together. Do that and he can plaster pride park with his sports direct signs and be back in the PL fairly quickly. Basically if it goes to plan he can be where he was with the mags but a couple of hundred million better off.
