I know AC Milan were linked but the price has got too rich for them. But plenty of Prem teams need a good centre half - you not think VdD would have tipped Klopp off if he was the real deal? I used to say the same thing about our signings in the Prem - why is no one else interested?

The upside is they will get all excited and he will be no better than Lascelles.

Seems like a lot of people need to get a grip, this takeovers resulted in watching a series of fully grown blokes have daily meltdowns

The takeovers happened, like it or not, the players are coming, like it or not

Milan being linked doesn’t mean much these days. They have the 6th choice Chelsea centre back (Timori) playing for them most weeks, Ibra who is nearly 50 and Giroud who is pushing 40.

Sounds like a decent prospect at a good age, evidently not the finished article or the big clubs would be in for him. Might cut it outside the farmers' league, might not.

Sounds exactly the type of player they were signing 10 years ago under Ashley & Graham Carr tbh, but with a big mark-up now attached.

I said at the outset they will just be paying 80m for Joe Linton rather than 40m. Top players, go to top teams. Having money just gives a better chance of the next tranche of players. This kid is on 18k p/w (

) - the average in the prem is c75k p/w. He knows he is out of the ECL in the next round (Chelsea). Lille have no chance in the league (in 8th conceding 26 from 19 games).

I’m not one that readily accepts murder and genocide. Nor do I readily accept homophobia, misogyny, state sponsored terrorism, beheadings, stonings of raped women or crucifixion of teenagers. That would be NUFC supporters. I’m not one of those either.
 
Just read that Jose Fonte played as a regular in the Lille side - he's 38! If you need evidence that Ligue Un is very many rungs down there you go.

exactly. the lad could be a good prospect but they said the same about mbiwa and he couldn't cut it in the prem
