F1 2022

Hopefully the 3 months between Abu Dhabi and Bahrain gives him all the time he needs to focus that anger into winning the title by September.

I'm disappointed by the Jackie Stewart article though, everyone knows Lewis was stitched up by the FIA, so anyone who speaks out trying to defend them just harms their own credibility.
Last time he lost the title at the last race to Rosberg he won 4 in a row.... just saying.

Stewart is a poisonous little goit, one of those characters in the sport (like Ecclestone) that just needs to bugger off into history.
This popped up on Facetube this morning…..for anyone who says it’s just the car..
the open cockpit looks almost alien when you see it now. I know that the halo is for safety, but it looks a lot better without one.

Whats the actual reasons for not liking Hamilton?
i think its a peak into the british psyche, often the public prefer the plucky underdog to someone who's an actual winner... or more often there's just 'something' about them, in cycling froome has never been loved by the broad public, whereas wiggins was the superstar of british cycling... the 80s boxing was all about bruno, i don't think lennox lewis achieved that same broad appeal... in cricket jimmy anderson could walk down the street unnoticed to many, whereas botham on the other hand... and in f1, someone like mansell who was the the fella who seemed to be a terminal runner-up had mass appeal... i think back to when mclaren ran button & hamilton together and the love for the drivers favored jenson in my opinion (probably still does). that hamilton has won spoty twice, let alone once is a surprise to me... to some we know why he's not liked, but the broad appeal he will never have even though he will be the greatest british driver of all time.

he's the james corden of the f1 world... ;)

For a bit of fun - who'd you pick - can only pick 1 from each group to create your team
Raikkonen or Hakkinen or Rosberg
Riccardio or Webber or Button
Verstappen or Alonso or Vettel
Schumacher or Hamilton or Senna

Raikkonen, Webber, Alonso, Schumacher for me

The best 4 drivers and winners but no way they could work together!

Ah, that last one is just taking the piss  I mean, how can anyone really pick between Hamilton and Senna?

;)

Riccardio or Webber or Button is a real tough one. None of them were ever elite level, but "if you have the best car and the support of the team, you'll win the championship". But it only happened for one of them. Actually, the more I think of it, I think I might just change my answer to Button as he did some good stuff after that year too.

At their best
Hakkinen
Button
Alonso
Hamilton

Button was the hard one but as a champion can bring that "won't be phased by winning" intangible
