I'm sorry mate, I can't be expected to know the ins and outs of a random lad two divisions below us. I misread the website and was proven to be wrong. At that point, I held my hands up.

It would be weird if I knew how many assists he had right?

12m rising to 15m is a lot of money? You have been out the Prem too long.

It’ll cost a lot more than that. £160k p/w

Very good signing is Trippier unfortunately, and the fee is very reasonable.

I've always liked him, and his set pieces will be worth a few goals too.

Don't think they'd have gone down anyway as Watford and Burnley will be lucky to get 20 points between them between now and the end of the season and Norwich are gone, but if they sign a few more players like that there is absolutely no question they'll survive.

Sensible business for them here. To be honest it's exactly the type of signing they need to be making.

Again, you have been out the Prem for too long. That's the going rate for a player from a league winning team with bags of international experience.

Is it fuck

You have to pay him that much to come. Nee fucker with any ambition fancies a relegation battle.

Mercenaries. See Lucas Neil at West Ham 15 years ago.

There is no point arguing this. I had a similar argument with someone recently about the Ramsdale price tag. You haven't a clue.

I suppose one positive is that Paul Dummett, the very first mags player to turn to Sunderland to celebrate their takeover, has moved several steps closer to being on the scrapheap 😅

80% of the mags won’t even know about the Saudi regime and what they are responsible for. You can almost excuse them.

It’s the other 20% - who know enough about the world to realise what their ownership is, and still try the mental gymnastics to skirt around it. Those who’ll say “well I’m obviously all for human rights, but..,.”, or “well you can’t control who owns your club can you?”. Those are the truly mediocre human beings.

Top notch sportswashing in action. Sky reporter talking about “first big signing of the Saudi-backed regime”. As if that’s the real story here. Meanwhile, the money still flows into the ISIS coffers, Jamal Khashoggi’s family still can’t bury their murdered and dismembered loved one, and the dead children of the Yemen are still that - dead children.

But hey, who cares when you want your eleven strangers to kick a bag of wind around a field better than another town’s eleven strangers? Absolutely vile.
I can’t see it any other way. They had a massive opportunity to actually stop a murderous regime from getting their own way.
it wouldn’t have stopped the killings, it wouldn’t have stopped governments dealing with them but it would have let the horrible f**kers know in no uncertain terms that ordinary folk, footy fans weren’t ok with it, that they wouldn’t be bought and that it wouldn’t stand. Gutless shameless f**king arseholes man.

12m doesn't seem bad. But there's add ons and 150k a week for a bloke who's 32 at the start of next season. If they're gonna hoy money around like that then they'll they'll come unstuck.

Theyve appointed Eddie howe ffs  'worlds richest'

Are they 32 with no resale value and on 150k a week?

Who are you to say I know nothing? Because your opinion differs from mine?
Because you clearly don't know how transfers work. Some factors to bear in mind :

It's Jan there is a premium, he is English so there is a premium, he's a regular international so there is a premium. He's a top class player from a league winning side who don't want to sell, there is a premium.

It's not absurd. It's the going rate.
