NUFC Sportswashing 2022

How am I wrong on it? My stance has always been the same. I'm very much against their human rights record.

At the time, I mentioned faux outrage on here and I stand by that. Palace and Boro managed displays against it. Well that was until Saudi saved the factories in Boro and they went quiet. Meanwhile, our rivals have done literally nothing, zilch, nada. Yet every single tweet from the club has outraged Sunderland fans on it.
Your owners kill people mate

Just wow

Bragging rights are gone mate. Which is a shame to be honest as always enjoyed the fun.
It’s gone way beyond that for me. Once over it was just the footy. It’s gone way beyond that now. When they started campaigning to have genocidal murderers as owners for money it went much deeper than local rivalry on a footy pitch. They f**king disgust me.
repulsive immoral and quite frankly evil. They aren’t cutting any heads off, but to profit from those that do is frankly evil.

Still remember Mag in Pieces try and defend the actions of some of his fellow supporters who were 'blocking roads as a protest' near the stadium. Saying "Well you's dont even do anything about your own ownership.":lol::lol::lol:

I would rather Sunderland f***ing liquidated before I spent my free time standing on roads to try prove a point to the Premier League.

It's the "we can't do anything about our owners, I'll just crack on with the footy" that makes me laugh mate.

They were proper upset over Ashleys staff contracts, but "Just focusing on the footy" is all they do now.

”Faux outrage”. Boro. Palace. Factories. Blah blah blah in the last few posts alone man

You’re all over these threads. If not defending or whatabouttering then what is it?

The “faux outrage” comment spoke volumes. Nothing else you can say now

Own it
It is faux outrage. 90% of the posters in here have never once mentioned the atrocities in Saudi Arabia before our takeover. They use it as a means to berate all Newcastle fans now because it's easy - they don't actually care though about the human rights issues or they would organise a palace/Boro like display.

Narrr mate used to talk about it all the time there's a thread somewhere with about 25k posts on it ?

80% of the mags won’t even know about the Saudi regime and what they are responsible for. You can almost excuse them.

It’s the other 20% - who know enough about the world to realise what their ownership is, and still try the mental gymnastics to skirt around it. Those who’ll say “well I’m obviously all for human rights, but..,.”, or “well you can’t control who owns your club can you?”. Those are the truly mediocre human beings.

Top notch sportswashing in action. Sky reporter talking about “first big signing of the Saudi-backed regime”. As if that’s the real story here. Meanwhile, the money still flows into the ISIS coffers, Jamal Khashoggi’s family still can’t bury their murdered and dismembered loved one, and the dead children of the Yemen are still that - dead children.

But hey, who cares when you want your eleven strangers to kick a bag of wind around a field better than another town’s eleven strangers? Absolutely vile.

Spot on

I’ve been a member of amnesty for 30 years. Granted I’m not from pennywell or Roker.
Well I doth my cap, you most likely do give / and have gave a shit before takeover (also actively trying to make a difference) unlike most on her who didn’t give a flying Fook and are just jealous as hell.
